- Roditis ist die am zweithäufigsten angebaute Weißweinsorte in Griechenland. Sie wird oft mit der Sorte Savatiano zu Retsina verschnitten. Sie heißt unter anderem auch Rhoditis, Roidites, Rogdites oder Alepou und wird besonders auf dem Peloponnes angebaut. Aus dem nordostgriechischen Anbaugebiet dieser Rebsorte stammt der weltweit bekannte Retsina Malamatina. Die Trauben dieser Sorte reifen trotz des warmen Klimas, das die gegen Pilzkrankheiten empfindliche Sorte benötigt, erst spät. Sie behalten aber trotzdem ausreichend Säure, was in warmen Klimazonen selten ist. Sie hat eine ausgeprägte Fruchtnote, insbesondere nach Zitrusfrüchten und Mandeln. La uva era muy valorada en la industria vitivinícola griega, antes de la filoxera, debido a su habilidad para madurar tarde y mantener su acidez en los climás cálidos del Peloponeso y Tesalónica. No obstante, su susceptibilidad al oídio y la filoxera del siglo XIX, redujeron las plantaciones de esta variedad en el siglo XX. Hoy suele mezclar son la savatiano para hacer el vino griego retsina. L'utilisation de ce raisin était très importante en Grèce, de l'industrie avant l'épidémie de phylloxéra, en raison de sa capacité à maturation tardive et de maintenir son acidité dans les climats chauds, comme ceux du Péloponnèse et de la Thessalie. Cependant, sa sensibilité à l'oïdium et le phylloxéra, sa plantation a été considérablement réduit, tout au long du XXe siècle. The grape was highly valued in the Greek wine industry prior to the phylloxera outbreak due to its ability to ripen late and maintain its acidity in hot climates like those of Peloponnese and Thessaly. However its susceptibility to powdery mildew and phylloxera dramatically reduced it plantings throughout the 20th century.
