- رئيس الكتاب هو اللقب الذي أطلق على المشرف للديوان الهمايوني في الدولة العثمانية، حتى القرن 11 هـ / 17 م. وقد كان رئيس الكتاب يقوم بأعمال مع السفارات الأجنبية في الدولة، حتى تطورت وظيفتهم وأصبحوا يؤدون دور وزير الخارجية. استمر هذا المنصب إلى 1836 م حيث تم استبداله بنظارة الأمور الخارجية. (ar)

Diterjemahkan sebagai "kepala juru tulis", "presiden birokrat" atau "kepala administrasi", pemegang jabatan yang pada awalnya adalah kepala arsip dari , yang berkembang menjadi sebuah analog menjadi Menteri Luar Negeri. Translated as "chief of the scribes" or "head clerk", the holder of the post was originally the head of the chancery of the Imperial Council, evolving into an analogue to a Foreign Minister.
