- Prokop von Ustjug, auch Prokop von Lübeck oder Prokopius von Ustjug und Lübeck (* in Lübeck; † 1303 in Weliki Ustjug) war ein Kaufmann aus Lübeck und wurde als Jurodiwy Heiliger der Russisch-orthodoxen Kirche. Prokop, mit bürgerlichem Namen möglicherweise Jacob Potharst, kam als Hansekaufmann von Lübeck nach Nowgorod und kam dort im Kontor Peterhof zu Wohlstand und Reichtum, dem er um 1300 bei seinem Übertritt vom römisch-katholischen zum russisch-orthodoxen Glauben vollständig entsagte, indem er sein Vermögen an die Armen verteilte, um fortan als Narr in Christo, in der russisch-orthodoxen Kirche auch Jurodiwy genannt, zu leben. Er lebte fortan auf Kirchentreppen und Müllhalden und soll durch seine Gebete die Stadt Ustjug vor dem Untergang bewahrt haben. Nach dem heiligen Prokop von Ustjug sind auch mehrere russisch-orthodoxe Kirchengemeinden und Kirchengebäude in Deutschland benannt. So auch die von der russisch-orthodoxen Gemeinde seiner Heimatstadt Lübeck genutzte Strobukeskapelle (Seitenkapelle der Katharinenkirche) sowie die russisch-orthodoxe Prokopkirche in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel. Sein Gedenktag ist der 8. Juli. Auf Ikonen wird er oftmals gemeinsam mit dem Heiligen gezeigt, der ebenfalls ein Jurodiwy war. (de)

- Procopius of Ustyug (Russian: Прокопий Устюжский or Святой Прокопий Любекский, German: Prokop(ius) von Ustjug und Lübeck; 1243? — July 8, 1303 in Veliky Ustyug) was a fool for Christ (yurodivy), a miracle worker, saint of Russian Orthodox Church, formerly a merchant from Lübeck. He was born in Germany, a Roman Catholic merchant who converted to Eastern Orthodox Christianity during his travels. Though he is sometimes identified as one Jacob Potharst, son of a Lübeck merchant, Procopius' worldly name, surname, date and place of birth are not reliably determined. In 1818 the universal celebration of the saint was established. St. Procopius lived as yurodivy (Russian: юродивый) for 60 years. In 1290 he predicted the fall of meteorite near Veliky Ustyug, as well as tornado and conflagration. The incorrupt relics of St. Procopius were discovered in the 18th century near the Entry of the Theotokos parish church in Veliky Ustyug and placed in the church, where they remained in open view for two hundred years, being the source of numerous healings.
