- Le Présidium du Politburo du Parti du travail de Corée, ou simplement le Présidium, est un comité composé des plus hauts dirigeants du Parti du travail de Corée (PTC). Historiquement, il était composé d'1 à 5 membres et compte actuellement 5 membres. Son objectif officiel est de mener des discussions sur les politiques et de prendre des décisions sur des questions majeures lorsque le Politburo, un organe décisionnel plus important, n'est pas en session. Alors que le Présidium relève en théorie du Politburo, qui à son tour relève du Comité central plus large, dans la pratique, le Présidium est supérieur aux autres organes de tutelle et il agit en tant qu'organe décisionnel le plus puissant de Corée du Nord. La Corée du Nord étant un État à parti unique, les décisions du Présidium ont de facto force de loi. Son rôle est à peu près analogue à celui du Comité permanent du Politburo du Parti communiste chinois. Il est actuellement composé de :
* Kim Jong-un (Président du Parti du travail, président de la Commission des affaires de l'État),
* Choe Ryong-hae (Président du Présidium de l'Assemblée populaire suprême, Premier vice-président de la Commission des affaires de l'État),

Historically it has been composed of one to five members, and currently has five members. Its officially mandated purpose is to conduct policy discussions and make decisions on major issues when the Politburo, a larger decision-making body, is not in session. While the Presidium in theory reports to the Politburo, which in turn reports to the larger Central Committee, in practice the Presidium is supreme over its parent bodies and acts as the most powerful decision-making body in North Korea. As North Korea is a one-party state, the Presidium's decisions de facto have the force of law. - O Presidium do Bureau Político do Partido dos Trabalhadores da Coreia ou simplesmente o Presidium, é um comitê formado pela alta liderança do Partido dos Trabalhadores da Coreia. Historicamente, é composto por um a cinco membros, atualmente conta com cinco membros. Seu propósito oficial é conduzir discussões de políticas e tomar decisões sobre questões importantes quando o Politburo, um órgão de decisão maior, não estiver em sessão. Enquanto o Presidium, em teoria, se reporta ao Politburo, que por sua vez se reporta ao maior , na prática, o Presidium é supremo sobre seus órgãos paternos e atua como o órgão decisório mais poderoso da Coreia do Norte. Como a Coreia do Norte é um Estado de partido único, as decisões do Presidium de facto têm força de lei. A nomeação de dois oficiais militares foi considerada por observadores externos como estando de acordo com a política militar de Kim Jong-il.
