- Das Plateau des Mille Étangs (wörtlich: Plateau der Tausend Teiche) ist eine geografische Zone von mehr als 220 km² im nordöstlichen Teil des Départements Haute-Saône in der Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in Frankreich. Am Ende der letzten Kaltzeit vor 12.000 Jahren kam es beim Rückzug des Moselgletschers über die Vogesen zu Eintiefungen im Primärsockel, was die Bildung von Mooren und Sümpfen auf drei Hochebenen unterschiedlicher Höhe begünstigte. Im Mittelalter wurde der Raum von Menschen verändert, die dort durch das Anlegen von Teichen die Fischzucht entwickelten. Diese Wasserreserven wurden dann im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert von der lokalen Textil- und Papierindustrie genutzt. Zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts ist diese Region, die größtenteils mit Wald bedeckt ist, von ökologischem Interesse. Dies vor allem aufgrund ihrer Feuchtgebiete, in denen sich bemerkenswerte Biotope befinden, die an eine kalte und feuchte Umgebung angepasst sind. Diese Region der Tausend Teiche ist als „Zone Naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique“ (ZNIEFF) anerkannt. Sie ist größtenteils in einem Natura 2000-Gebiet und im Regionaler Naturpark Ballons des Vosges enthalten. Im Süden befindet sich das regionale Naturschutzgebiet des Torfmoors Grande Pile. Die Tausend Teiche haben auch eine touristische Bedeutung durch ihre Landschaften, die ihnen in Analogie zu den finnischen „Tausend Seen“ den Spitznamen „Petite Finlande“ verleihen.

- La Région des Mille étangs, aussi appelée Plateau des Mille étangs, est une zone géographique de plus de 220 km2 située dans la partie nord-est du département de la Haute-Saône en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. À la fin de la dernière ère glaciaire, il y a 12 000 ans, le retrait du glacier de la Moselle débordant au-dessus des Vosges saônoises a formé des surcreusements dans le socle primaire qui recouvrait la région favorisant la formation de tourbières, marécages sur trois plateaux dont l'altitude varie de 310 mètres à 781 mètres. Au Moyen Âge, l'espace est transformé par l'Homme qui y développe la pisciculture en aménageant des étangs. Ces réserves d'eau sont ensuite utilisées au XIXe et XXe siècle par les industries textiles et papetières locales. Au début du XXIe siècle, cette région, majoritairement recouverte de forêt, présente un intérêt environnemental de par ses zones humides qui abritent des biotopes remarquables et adaptés à un milieu froid et humide. Cette région des Mille étangs est reconnue comme zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique (ZNIEFF), elle est en grande partie incluse dans une zone Natura 2000 et dans le parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges ; au sud se trouve la réserve naturelle régionale de la tourbière de la Grande Pile. Les Mille étangs possèdent également un intérêt touristique par ses paysages qui lui valent le surnom de « Petite Finlande » par analogie avec les « Mille Lacs » finlandais. (fr)
- The Plateau des Mille étangs (literally : "Thousand Ponds Plateau") is a geographical area of more than 220 km2 located in the northeast part of the Haute-Saône department in the french region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. At the end of the Last Glacial Period, 12,000 years ago, the retreat of the Moselle glacier overflowing above the Vosges formed deepening in the primary basement which covered the region favoring the formation of peatlands, swamps in three plateaus of different altitudes. In the Middle Ages, the space was transformed by Man, who developed fish farming there by developing ponds. These water reserves were then used in the 19th and 20th centuries by the local textile and paper industries. At the beginning of the 21st century, this region, mostly covered with forest, is of environmental interest due to its wetlands which are home to remarkable biotopes adapted to a cold and humid environment. This Thousand Ponds region is recognized as a Zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique (ZNIEFF), it is largely included in a Natura 2000 area and in the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park; to the south is the Grande Pile peat bog regional nature reserve. The Thousand Ponds also have a tourist interest by its landscapes which are worth to him the nickname of "Little Finland" by analogy with the "Thousand Lakes" Finnish.

- Het Plateau des Mille Étangs (letterlijk vertaald: Plateau van de duizend vijvers) is een geografisch gebied van meer dan 220 km2 in het noordoosten van het departement Haute-Saône in Frankrijk. Aan het einde van het laatste ijstijdvak, 12.000 jaar geleden, trok de Moezel-gletsjer bovenop de Vogezen zich terug. In het vrijgekomen gebied ontstonden moerassen op drie plateaus met verschillende hoogte. In de middeleeuwen werd het gebied door de mens aangepast. Er werden viskwekerijen ontwikkeld door meertjes of vijvers aan te leggen. Deze waterbekkens werden vervolgens in de 19e en 20e eeuw gebruikt door de lokale textiel- en papierindustrie. Aan het begin van de 21e eeuw omvat de regio, die grotendeels bedekt is met bos, daarnaast wetlands met biotopen die zijn aangepast aan een koude en vochtige omgeving. Het Plateau des Mille Étangs is in Frankrijk bestemd tot "Zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique" (ZNIEFF). Het gebied is voor een groot deel een Natura 2000-gebied en is onderdeel van het natuurgebied Ballons des Vosges. In het zuiden van het gebied ligt het regionale natuurreservaat Grande Pile, een veengebied. Het gebied is toeristisch interessant door het landschap met de bijnaam "Klein Finland" omdat het doet denken aan de Finse Merenvlakte.
