- منظمة المرأة في العلوم من أجل العالم النامي (بالإنجليزية: Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World) واختصاراً (بالإنجليزية: OWSD) هي منتدى دولي يمنح الزمالات في العلوم لطالبات الدراسات العليا من الدول النامية. تأسست المنظمة عام 1993، ومقر إدارتها يقع في الأكاديمية العالمية للعلوم في ترييستي في إيطاليا. عقب انعقاد المؤتمر الدولي الرابع للجمعية العامة عام 2010، صوّت الأعضاء على تغيير اسم المنظمة من "منظمة العالم الثالث للمرأة في العلوم" إلى "منظمة المرأة في العلوم للعالم النامي. شجعت رئيستها السابقة ليديا ماخوبو الفتيات على البدء في المراحل الدراسية الابتدائية ليكنّ مستعدات لبدء أعمالٍ ومهن في مجال العلوم. - La Organización para las Mujeres en Ciencia para el Mundo en Desarrollo también conocida como OWSD (inglés: Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World) es una organización no gubernamental, sin fines de lucro internacional, destinada a fomentar la investigación, las carreras científicas y a establecer vínculos entre las científicas de países en vías de desarrollo. Es un programa de la Unesco y sus oficinas centrales están ubicadas en la Academia Mundial de Ciencias (en inglés: The World Academy of Sciences o TWAS) en Trieste, Italia. It was founded in 1987 and was officially launched in 1993. The organisation was formerly known as the Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS). It is a program unit of UNESCO and based at the offices of The World Academy of Sciences in Trieste, Italy. The organisation aims to unite eminent scientists from the developing and developed world with an objective of supporting their efforts in the development process. It also aims at promoting the representation of its members in the sphere of scientific and technological leadership. It does so through different programs like memberships, fellowships, and awards.
