- Nørre-Rangstrup Kommune (deutsch: Norderrangstrup) war eine Kommune im Sønderjyllands Amt (Nordschleswig) im südwestlichen Dänemark. Die flächengroße und recht dünn besiedelte Kommune lag auf der schleswigschen Geest. Ihr Name bezieht sich nicht auf einen zentralen Ort, sondern auf eine bis 1867 bestehende Harde gleichen Namens. Seit 1970 bestand sie aus den Kirchspielen (dän.: Sogn) Agerskov Sogn, Bevtoft Sogn, Branderup Sogn, Tirslund Sogn und Toftlund Sogn, die vorher die Harde im Haderslev Amt gebildet hatten, sowie dem Kirchspiel Arrild Sogn aus der Harde im ehemaligen Tønder Amt. Zur Überraschung vieler beschloss der Kommunalrat im Zuge der Strukturreform, dass Nørre-Rangstrup künftig einer Großkommune mit Zentrum in Tønder angehören soll, der seit dem 1. Januar 2007 auch die bisherigen Kommunen Bredebro, Højer, Løgumkloster, Skærbæk und Tønder angehören und die den Namen Tønder Kommune erhält. Die Gemeinde Bevtoft Sogn zog jedoch nicht mit und hat sich der neuen Großkommune Haderslev angeschlossen, da sowohl die historischen Verbindungen enger als auch die Wege nach Haderslev von dort aus kürzer sind. - Until 1 January 2007 Nørre-Rangstrup (German: Rangstrup), was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former South Jutland County on the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 302 km2, and had a total population of 9,502 (2005). Its last mayor was Ole Østvig Nissen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Toftlund. The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a kommunalreform ("Municipality Reform") that merged a number of existing parishes:
* Agerskov (German: Aggerschau), Parish
* Arrild Parish
* Bevtoft (German: Beftoft), Parish
* Branderup Parish
* Tirslund (German: Tieslund), Parish
* Toftlund Parish Nørre-Rangstrup municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with existing Bredebro, Højer, Løgumkloster, Skærbæk, and Tønder municipalities to form the new Tønder municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 1,352 km2 and a total population of 42,645 (2005). (en)
