- Le naskapi, ou iiyuw-iyimuuun, est une langue algonquienne parlée dans au Québec et au Labrador, au Canada. Le naskapi est parlé principalement par les Naskapis, peuple apparenté aux Innus, qui sont établis dans le de Kawawachikamach dans le Nord-du-Québec. Selon les données du , le naskapi est la langue maternelle d’environ 710 personnes. En dépit de ce faible nombre, les locuteurs de la langue sont de tous les âges. L’écriture de la langue se fait en grande majorité au moyen des syllabiques naskapies, qui présentent des similitudes mais demeurent distinctes des syllabiques cries. (fr)
- Naskapi (also known as ᐃᔪᐤ ᐃᔨᒧᐅᓐ/Iyuw Iyimuun in the Naskapi language) is an Algonquian language spoken by the Naskapi in Quebec and Labrador, Canada. It is written in Eastern Cree syllabics. The term Naskapi is chiefly used to describe the language of the people living in the interior of Quebec and Labrador in or around Kawawachikamach, Quebec. Naskapi is a "y-dialect" that has many linguistic features in common with the Northern dialect of East Cree, and also shares many lexical items with the Innu language. Although there is a much closer linguistic and cultural relationship between Naskapi and Innu than between Naskapi and other Cree language communities, Naskapi remains unique and distinct from all other language varieties in the Quebec-Labrador peninsula. La lingua viene scritta utilizzando l' un alfasillabario con cui vengono scritte molte lingue di origine cree. In particolare col termine naskapi viene indicata principalmente la lingua delle popolazioni che vivono nella riserva di (Quebec) e nei dintorni, la lingua è molto simile alla lingua cree nordorientale e condivide molte strutture lessicali con la lingua innu, entrambe lingue algonchine.
