- Die Namibian Annual Music Awards (meist nur Namibian Music Awards; kurz NAMA) sind der wichtigste Musikpreis in Namibia. Sie werden seit 2011 alljährlich in Windhoek vergeben. Ausgezeichnet werden namibische Musiker, die im vorherigen Jahr Besonderes für die namibische Musik geleistet haben. NAMA ist der Nachfolger der von 2005 bis 2009 vergebenen „Sanlam NBC Namibia Music Awards“. Hauptsponsoren des Musikpreises sind MTC Namibia, NBC, Hyundai Namibia, Namibia Dairies, und die . Weitere Sponsoren sind Motor Vehicle Accident Fund, , Bank Windhoek, sowie Old Mutual Namibia. Die letzte Verleihung fand 2020 statt. Auf Grund der COVID-19-Pandemie in Namibia musste der Award virtuell stattfinden. Um ihn zu entrzerren wurden die unterschiedlichen Awards an mehreren Wochenenden vom 15. August bis zum 14. - The Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) ceremony was the biggest awards ceremony in Namibia. It was established in 2011 by MTC Namibia and the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation. They would award a NAMA trophy to musicians in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the music industry of Namibia. Along with a NAMA, the musician would receive sponsorships, endorsement deals and cash prizes. The NAMAs were usually held in Windhoek, Namibia's capital and it would be broadcast live on DStv via the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation. The show had international music judges, hosts and artists. The first NAMAs took place in May 2011 and the big winners were Jericho (Best Male Artist) and Gal Level (Best Female Artist). The NAMAs came to a finale on 31 October 2020. (en)
