- Axali Doëseb (born 1954) is a Namibian music composer. He wrote and composed "Namibia, Land of the Brave", which has been the national anthem of the country since 1991. He has also served as conductor of the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra. The composition of the National anthem was supervised by Hidipo Hamutenya, then chairman of the National Symbols subcommittee. In 2006 Hamutenya claimed that he authored the lyrics himself, "on the plane to Cuba", a claim that Doëseb denied. (en)
- Axali Doëseb (* 1954 in Okahandja, Südwestafrika) ist ein zeitgenössischer namibischer Musiker, Dirigent und Komponist. Zu seinen Werken gehören die Melodie und Text der namibischen Nationalhymne „Namibia, Land of the Brave“ und die Liturgie der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in der Republik Namibia. Doëseb war zudem an der Entwicklung der Hymne der Afrikanischen Union, Let Us All Unite and Celebrate Together, beteiligt. Er erhielt 2014 den Namibian Annual Music Award (NAMA) für sein Lebenswerk. Doëseb hält seit 1997 ein Diplom der Musikschule Herford, (Deutschland) sowie einen Bachelor in Musikwissenschaft der (Vereinigtes Königreich). Axali Doëseb war der erste schwarze Dirigent des namibischen Symphonieorchesters. Seit 2019 ist er Jurymitglied des namibischen Musikpreises NAMA. (de)
