- ظاهرة شجرة القرد بالإنجليزية: (Monkey tree phenomenon) هي ظاهرة اجتماعية في سنغافورة، والتي بدأت في سبتمبر 2007. نشأت عن اكتشاف أشكال على شجرة في «هونغ كاه» (مدينة بسنغافورة)، تظهر شبها بالقرد. يعتقد البعض أن تكون الصورة من الأصل الإلهي، والبعض الآخر فسر هذه الظاهرة بأنها من آثار الباريدوليا حيث يتم تفسير بعض المؤثرات العشوائية و اعتبارها ذات معنى. أدت هذه الأشكال إلى حدوث هوس لدى بعض السكان ، جذبت هذه الأشكال حشودا كبيرة للنظر أو صلاة للشجرة. - The monkey tree phenomenon was a social phenomenon in Singapore, which began in September 2007. It arose from the discovery of a callus on a tree in Hong Kah, which appears monkey-like. Some believe the image to be of divine origin, while others have attributed the phenomenon to the effects of pareidolia, whereby random stimuli are perceived as meaningful. The callus has initiated a minor social mania, drawing large crowds to look or pray at the tree. (en)
