- Mobile Station Roaming Number (MSRN) je telefonní číslo podle E.164 používané pro směrování telefonních volání v mobilní síti z GMSC (Gateway Mobile Switching Centre) do cílové MSC (viz Síťový spojovací subsystém). Můžeme jej definovat jako telefonní číslo dočasně přiřazené mobilnímu telefonu pro volání na tento mobilní telefon. MSRN se používá při každém volání na mobilní telefon, i když je volaný mobilní telefon u stejné MSC jako volající účastník. I když se to zdá zbytečné, protože návštěvnický registr tvoří jeden celek s MSC, GSM specifikace uvádí, že MSC a VLR (návštěvnický registr) nemusí sídlit na stejném switchi. MSC a VLR jsou považovány za dva různé uzly, protože mají vlastní směrovací adresy. MSRN je jedním z parametrů odpovědi SRI_Response. Konkrétně se MSRN používá při MNP scénáři (v tomto případě může být modifikováno jako 'RgN + MSISDN'). MSRN je další dočasná adresa, která skrývá identitu účastníka. VLR generuje MSRN na žádost z MSC. MSRN obsahuje aktuální kód navštívené země (visitor country code, VCC), národní cílové číslo návštěvníka (visitor national destination code, VNDC) a identifikaci aktuálního MSC spolu s účastnickým číslem.Kdyby všechny MSC fungovaly jako GMSC podle poslední technologie, jaké by byly stavy MSRN? - Le MSRN ou Mobile Station Roaming Number est un numéro de téléphone défini par les recommandations E.164 de l'UIT, afin de router les appels téléphoniques d'un terminal mobile qui est en roaming dans un réseau mobile, depuis le Gateway Mobile Switching Center (GMSC) jusqu'à la cible, le Mobile service Switching Center de son opérateur mobile. C'est un numéro temporaire qui dans certains cas (notamment l'itinérance) remplace le n° MSISDN qui est normalement le numéro d'appel international (couramment appelé numéro de téléphone) via lequel l'abonné est joignable. La correspondance entre ces numéros est faite dans les VLR et les HLR. En France, les numéros MSRN sont compris dans la plage 06 53 à 06 55 et sont appelés numéros de réacheminement (cf. décision n° 99-480 de l'Autorité de régulation des télécommunications en date du 9 juin 1999). It can also be defined as a directory number temporarily assigned to a mobile for a mobile terminated call. A MSRN is assigned for every mobile terminated call, not only the calls where the terminating MS lives on a different MSC than the originating MS. Although this seems unnecessary since many vendors' VLR's are integrated with the MSC, the GSM specification indicates that the MSC and VLR (Visitor Location Register) do not need to reside on the same switch. They are considered two different nodes as they have their own routing addresses. The MSRN is one of the returned parameters into SRI Response message.
