- Der McLaren M30 ist ein Formel-1-Rennwagen des britischen Motorsportteams McLaren Racing, der bei drei Rennen der Formel-1-Weltmeisterschaft 1980 eingesetzt wurde. Er stammt aus der Endphase des McLaren-Teams in seiner ursprünglichen Form und ist der letzte Rennwagen, der vor der Fusion mit dem von Ron Dennis geführten Rennstall Project Four entstand. - The McLaren M30 is a Formula One racing car built and run by McLaren for part of the 1980 Formula One season. It was a one-off car, primarily driven by Alain Prost. The purpose of the M30 was to further capitalize on ground-effect design, taking over from the McLaren M29 which was perceived as obsolete. The one and only M30 was damaged in an accident in practice for the 1980 United States Grand Prix. For the 1981 season McLaren returned to the M29 model. The McLaren M30 was the last new car completed by McLaren before the team's merger with Ron Dennis's Project 4 Formula 2 team, and he assumed leadership of the team the following year. Irish driver Alo Lawler used the car to compete in UK domestic Formule Libre championships between 1984 and 1989, and it was then sold to George Nuse who raced it in historic series in the USA. Since 2004, Sean Allen has competitively raced the McLaren M30 in North America in the Historic Grand Prix. (en)

- La McLaren M30 fu una vettura di Formula 1 progettata da in monoscocca d'alluminio e spinta dal tradizionale propulsore Ford Cosworth DFV. La M30 venne utilizzata nel corso della seconda parte della stagione 1980. La vettura fece il suo debutto in gara nel Gran Premio d'Olanda, undicesima gara stagionale, per sostituire il modello M29. Guidata dal solo Alain Prost, ottenne un punto, giungendo sesta. Nella parte restante della stagione, tre gare, non ottenne altri piazzamenti a punti. Venne guidata dal solo pilota francese essendo esistente un solo modello. L'unico modello venne infine danneggiato nelle prove del Gran Premio degli Stati Uniti-Est. La M30 guidata da Prost a Imola nel Gran Premio d'Italia 1980 Vista la scarsa efficienza la M30 non venne riproposta nella stagione seguente quando, in attesa della rivoluzionaria MP4/1, venne utilizzata la McLaren M29F. Fu l'ultimo modello della McLaren denominato con la lettera M. Dal 1981 infatti, dopo la fusione con la Project Four di Ron Dennis, la sigla delle vetture della scuderia inglese è MP4. (it)
