Lynch’s slave pen was a 19th-century slave pen, or slave jail, in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri, United States, that held enslaved men, women, and children while they waited to be sold. The slave pen was owned by Bernard M. Lynch, a prominent Saint Louis slave trader. Lynch operated the slave pen at this location from 1859 until its confiscation by the Union Army in 1861.
