- The Los Angeles Crusade of 1949 was the first great evangelistic campaign of Billy Graham. It was organized by the Christian group Christ for Greater Los Angeles. The campaign was scheduled for three weeks, but it was extended to eight weeks. During the campaign Graham spoke to 350,000 people, by the end, 3,000 of them decided to convert to Christianity. It was subsequently described as the greatest revival since the time of Billy Sunday. After this crusade Graham became a national figure in the United States. (en)

Trwała osiem tygodni – od 25 września do 20 listopada – i przybyło na nią około 350 tysięcy ludzi. Podczas tej kampanii nawróciło się kilka publicznych osób, wśród nich Louis Zamperini oraz Stuart Hamblen. Krucjata dała początek nowej kulturze religijnej w Stanach Zjednoczonych.
