- Yuxiang is woken up Liqin. Liqin returns from Shanghai with Aizhen and has come to ask Yuxiang for Aizhen's hand. Liqin tells Yuxiang he will look after Aizhen for life. Yuxiang decides to send Aimei to Yue Guang, but she runs away from the office. Yue Guang sees her on the rooftop, and thinking that she was about to commit suicide, tries to save her, only to fall off the roof with her, landing on a pickup, their lips touching in the process. The pickup drives away and Yuxiang is worried sick, not knowing Aimei's whereabouts.
Aimei is brought home by Qiumei, who had found her on the pickup after it was parked by the roadside. Yuxiang rewards her with a job at the coffeeshop, where she is praised for her efficiency by Uncle Rojak but belittled by 4D for her backwardness. Youli tries to collect empty drink cans from 899, but Yuxiang stops him and claims the cans as her property. Qiumei meets up with him and persuades him not to make trouble at the coffeeshop, saying that kindness begets kindness.
Shanguo refuses to purchase the $4,000,000 bungalow and Dolly proposes a house at Lentor Plain just over $1,000,000. (en)
- Youli found Fang Kai’s family photos and documents in the rubbish bin and is shocked and uncomfortable that Youqing knows them. Youli meets up with Jason and confirms that Fang Kai is indeed his son. Youli feels guilty when Jason brings up the topic of Fang Kai’s being kidnapped when he was a boy. (en)

- The Zheng family lives in a five-room HDB flat. Zheng Shanguo owns two coffee-shops, 899, and is a thrifty and frugal man. His wife, Zhang Yuxiang, is a spendthrift who hankers after branded goods. Shanguo has three daughters, Aizhen, Aishan and Aimei. Aizhen is at loggerheads with her next-door neighbour Liqin, who lives with his sister, Lifen and grandmother, Jinyin.
Ah Quan, Shanguo's neighbour, commits suicide, leaving his family to pay his gambling debts. Lifen goes door to door, collecting donations for his family. With her brother's help, she persuades their neighbours to donate, attracting them with a lucky dip in which could be found a $900 television set.
Yuxiang steals $2000 from Shanguo to pay her friend, Helen, for a branded handbag by pretending to have a nightmare in which the ghost of Ah Quan demanded $2000 from her for stepping on hell-notes meant for him. (en)
- Yuxiang frets over what to wear for her women club meeting. She suddenly remembered Janet left her a diamond with Aizhen. She secretly borrowed it while Aizhen is not at home. Attending the meeting with Dolly, Yuxiang runs for cover when Janet makes a sudden appearance. (en)
- Yuxiang bumps into the arrogant Zen, an actress, during one of her shopping trips. Out of pride, she insists on buying a pair of branded shoes. She has no money to pay for it as Shanguo had secretly stolen her money, and asks for Aizhen’s help.
Quansao is ostracised by her neighbours and is sacked from the rojak store when her husband is diagnosed with AIDS following a post-mortem. She and her children begin to starve.
Aizhen is made a mockery by Liqin when she accidentally steps on urine in the lift. Upset, Aizhen goes to Liqin’s house on the pretext of looking for Lifen, and secretly plants laxative in his drink.
Jianzhou, Jinyin's husband, asks Aizhen to write his daughter-in-law, Guan Qiumei a letter, informing her of the family's new address. Aizhen is told to keep the letter a secret but it is snatched away by Jinyin, who burns the letter. (en)

- Yuxiang yearns to move into a landed property and secretly goes house-viewing with her three daughters and Duoli. - Qiaomei beats up Shuiguo when she discovers the loansharks hanged chicken heads and splashed red paint on her door. Shuiguo pleads his innocence and analyse with her that this is not the work of loansharks. - Shanguo decides to expose Liqin's true self to Aizhen. Aizhen pays them a visit during the filming. Lisa complains to Liqin about Qiumei, Liqin splashed hot tea on Qiumei causing her to fall down. - Shanguo lingers around his coffeeshop which is closed down. Aishan and Aimei tells him though they have lost the coffeeshop, they still have his brand name and they will continue to build on it. Shanguo tells them the coffeeshop is like a wife to him and it is very hard to break off. (en)
- Aizhen and Liqin take outdoors wedding pictures. Fang Kai privately tells Aizhen what he told her previously is for her own good. Aizhen however tells him she believes Liqin. - Dried Chilli secretly drops laxative in the rice resulting in mass diarrhoea. When the health authority investigates, Aizhen is asked by her bosses to cover the story. - Youqing decides to return the ring to Yueguang after learning he intends to go mountain climbing before their wedding and will only talk about it after he comes back. - Shanguo leaves home. Yuxiang wakes up with a headache in the middle of the night. Shuiguo takes this opportunity to extort money from her and left to look for Sanguo. Shuiguo brought Shanguo to the newly renovated house. Shanguo blows up when he saw the luxurious fittings. Shuiguo brings an inebriated Shanguo home. - Jason looks for Zen hoping she can drop the charges against Janet. Jason shares with Zen his happier times with Janet and laments over the fact that she has changed. Yuxiang mistook Qiumei and Shanguo slept together and complains to Dolly about it. Dolly dropped her once-in-a-lifetime business deal and rushed to console Yuxiang. - Yuxiang discovers her newly bought palm tree and sunshade is damaged and goes over to Youli’s house to question him. Youqing is aware her brother is responsible for it and gave Yuxiang a long lecture over this matter. She passed Yuxiang her namecard and tells her she is a lawyer and that her forte is reasoning. When Shanguo finds out she is a lawyer, he knows they cannot out-talk her and swiftly pull Yuxiang away. Yuxiang is left fuming away. (en)
- Yuxiang loses the money meant for Helen. Wu Youli, a rag and bone man finds the money and secretly gives it to Quansao, Ah Quan's wife. Quansao, thinking that the money was from Lifen, calls the media and tells them about Lifen. As the reporter, Yang Yan, interviews Lifen, Yuxiang claims to be the kind-hearted soul who had donated the money to Quansao, through the ghost of Ah Quan.
Wu Youqing, Youli's lawyer sister, returns from overseas after winning a tough case. Youli frames up a newspaper cutting featuring his sister and places it in a prominent place at their house.
Yuxiang announces to her employees at 899 that she would be on television that night, only to find out that her segment had been cut by the Yang Yan. She is relieved when she finds out that the televisions at 899 had broken down, but is horrified to learn that they had been watching Param's mobile TV.
Yuxiang wrongly accuses Youli of molesting Aimei, but Aimei tells her that she was just frightened by his appearance. (en)
- Shouye and Xiaoke visits Youli’s house and he asked Aunt Garbage to stroke his shoulder and at the same time call him “Ye-ge”. She complied. Shouye thinks that she is not the woman he is looking for. Jinlian overheard Youli has a CCTV installed and quickly left, missing the opportunity to meet Youli. (en)
- Yuxiang tells the rest she suspects Youli is the culprit. However Aimei pointed out that he will not do such a thing to his beloved sister and god-mother. Qiaomei wants Hongzhong to reveal that Dried Chilli is the culprit. She lied that Aizhen's colleagues has filmed down Dried Chilli’s process of dropping the laxative. - Liqin's grandfather is sick but Liqin’s leave is not approved. Lifen is also not able to bring him to the doctor. Jinyin has no choice but to approach Shuiguo for help. - Yue Guang meets up with Youqing. Youqing asks Fang Kai along under the pretense of being her boyfriend. Yue Guang gives them his blessing. When Fang Kai learns that Yue Guang is crippled, he tells Yue Guang the truth. Yue Guang however tells him he is aware of the truth but as he is not able to give Youqing happiness, he hopes Fang Kai will be able to take care of her. (en)
- Aimei overhears Qiaomei and Aizhen talking about Qiumei's past and is astonished to find out that she was a murderer. Aishan instructs her to bury her secrets in a bottle, but 4D overhears her speaking her secret into the bottle and leaks the news. By the next morning, every worker at 899 knew about Qiumei's secret.
Yuxiang secretly purchases expensive furniture and toilet bowls but claims that they were only fakes and imitations from Taiwan and China. She makes Nelson Tan, the interior designer, forge the receipts to make them correspond to the prices she had declared to Shanguo, who tries to make her drunk so as to divulge her secrets. She gives nothing away.
Youli has lunch at a restaurant with magnate Jason Fang, who admires his talent in financial strategies and stocks. (en)
- Youqing slipped into the warehouse and is spotted by Shouye on the CCTV. Xiaoke warns Shouye about her. Jinlian is shocked when she discovered that Shouye intends to hide the drugs and then killed Youqing after conning her to go to Taiwan. - Youli finds one of his tortoises missing. Suspecting it has been stolen by Shanguo’s family members, he reports to the police. Aizhen decides to buy a new tortoise for Youli hoping to pass it off as the lost one. Yuxiang and her family returns the tortoise. - Business at the coffee-shop is very bad. Youli taunts them by saying the coffee shop will be closed down sooner or later. Yuxiang scolds Youli and at the same time blames Shanguo for the bad business. Shanguo tells her to be patient as the coffee shop was shut down for a while and it takes time to re-build the business. - Lifen and Qiumei reconcile after finding out the truth. Qiumei wants Lifen to keep it a secret and explains that since Liqin feels that he does not have a mother, she doesn't want him to find out the truth about his father too. (en)
- Qiumei cooks up a scrumptious meal and asked Lifen to bring it home to share with her family. However she tells her not to let anyone know she is the cook. Lifen does not understand why Qiumei is so afraid of Liqin and started asking her for details. Shuiguo immediately comes up with a story to help Qiumei out of her predicament. Lifen assumes Qiumei, Liqin and Jinyin has differences with each other and decides to hide the fact that Qiumei is their neighbour. (en)
- Shanguo is elated upon Yuxiang’s confirmation of her pregnancy. However Yuxiang starts having nightmares each time she thinks about it. Aizhen and her sisters promise to look after their brother. Both Yuxiang and Shanguo feels comforted. (en)
- Fang Kai and Youqing were locked up in a dark warehouse. Youqing’s claustrophobia acts up again and Fang Kai comforts her. Youqing revealed she has been in a similar situation when she was young. Fang Kai is surprised to hear this. (en)
- Qiaomei gives Jinyin a massage and tells her not to be so stubborn. She lets on on all the things that Qiumei has done for her. Jinyin is a bit touched. Qiumei brings Dezhu to give Jinyin acupuncture and is happy to see her recovering. Jinyin finally talks to Qiumei. Qiumei is elated that their relationship is finally on the mend. (en)
- Liqin learnt from the doctor that Jianzhou’s days are numbered. When Jianzhou is finally discharged, he pretends to be happy in front of Jinyin and Qiumei. Liqin asked Aizhen to pretend to be his girlfriend as Jianzhou’s wish is to meet his girlfriend. Aizhen agrees. (en)
- Yuxiang lost the necklace and Shanguo is worried that he may have to pay for it. He asks Aizhen to seek Janet’s help. Aizhen is upset with Yuxiang for causing so many problems. Yuxiang feels bad and accompanies Aizhen to meet Janet. Janet tells them she has a lot of jewellery and doesn’t care for a missing necklace. - Yuxiang mistook Fang Kai as a gigolo and warns Aizhen to stop seeing him. Aizhen tells her mother off for embarrassing Fang Kai in front of so many people by saying that he is a gigolo. Yuxiang tells Aizhen both Helen and herself has seen Fang Kai behaving intimately with a rich tai-tai. Yuxiang is left feeling helpless when Aizhen insists Yuxiang has seen the wrong person. (en)
- Dolly sells the house at Lentor Plain to Yuxiang, much to Youli's disappointment. Youli releases cockroaches into the property but Dolly kills them before Shanguo manages to notice them.
Aizhen meets Yang Yan on a shopping trip and identifies her as the one who had cut her mother's interview. She takes revenge on her by disputing her credibility as a neutral party on national TV. Feeling that talking in front of a camera is a breeze for her, she decides to apply for a job as a news reporter for Yang Yan's news channel, Clear Sky.
Yuxiang persuades Shanguo to send Aimei to a psychiatrist again. Shanguo reluctantly agrees and Aimei returns to Yue Guang's office. Upon realising that Yue Guang was the 'lecher' who kissed her on the pickup, she tries to run away, but Yue Guang calms her down. Amazed at her daughter's quick recovery, she happily pays the bill of $300.
Hanwen goes to Jinyin's house with news of Qiumei's release and her wish to meet them. Jinyin chases him out, saying that they wanted nothing to do with her. Lifen is suspicious but finds it better not to probe too far. (en)
- Aizhen approaches Janet regarding the fake necklace. Janet denies ever seeing it, and mocks Aizhen, telling her that Yu Xiang probably has seen much more. Aizhen looks for Fang Kai to complain but discovers that Fang Kai is trying to pay off the $180,000 debt. - Yuxiang has insomnia and misses Shanguo’s coffee. However she refuses to call him for fear of losing face. Aizhen persuades her mother to get him home. In order to make Shanguo return home, the 3 sisters lied to him that Yuxiang is seriously ill and they are unable to wake her up. Shanguo rushed home upon hearing this, and both parties reconcile. - Aimei prepared biscuits to give to Yue Guang but she dare not confess her feelings to him. Yue Guang buys the biscuits to encourage her. Yue Guang invites Aimei to exercise by climbing the stairs. - Lifen wants to interview Qiumei to get inspiration for her film. Qiumei realised her script is similar to her own life story and decided to leave. Lifen suspects the killer is Qiumei and is shocked to find out the victim is none other than her own father. (en)
- Qiumei specially cooked something for Shuiguo to soothe his sore throat. Shuiguo is touched by her gesture. Qiumei asked him for his opinion on becoming Dr Zhao's assistant, Shuiguo does not agree to it. (en)
- Youli and Aishan visits Youqing and sees Yue Guang leaving. Youli laments that Yue Guang has never forget Youqing, and that Youqing hates him is due to her love for him. Aishan feels that both are suffering as they meet at a wrong time. Fang Kai quickly wipes away his tears when Youli and Aishan appears in the room. (en)
- Aishan discover Shuiguo and looks him up with Shanguo. Shuiguo denies he is Shuiguo. Aishan tells him Ah Bing has already left the country and she did not report the matter to the police. - Jinyin asks Qiaomei for a favour, to pretend to marry Jianzhou to chase away the bad luck. Qiaomei relents and asked her family for their opinions. However they oppose to it. - Youqing and Yueguang are trapped accidentally. Youqing loses control and bite onto Yue Guang’s hand, refusing to let go. Yue Guang senses Youqing has slight claustrophobia and decides to endure the pain. (en)
- Youqing represents all the victims to seek compensation from Shanguo. Shanguo almost fainted upon seeing the amount asked for. Yuxiang uses the excuse of being stressed out to go shopping. Shanguo buys her a present to help relieve her stress. Yuxiang is livid when she finds out that Shanguo had bought her a cheap stress-relief ball. (en)
- Lifen accidentally find out Roland’s and Zen’s relationship and feels hurt. Roland explains to her that their relationship is just purely for pleasure purposes no personal feelings involved. Roland even admitted that he is the one who has been messaging her all this while. Lifen is shocked. (en)
- Years ago, Hanwen accidentally knocked and killed their then 5-year-old son Xiaodong while he was rushing off to work. Since then, Dolly is unable to forgive Hanwen and this accident has created a riff between the couple. Yueguang advised that they need to put this incident behind them and move on. Though slightly convinced, Duoli is still unable to overcome this hurdle when facing Hanwen. (en)
- Aimei finally sees the crippled Yue Guang and asked why he refused to keep in contact with everyone. Yue Guang tells her he has no wish for anyone to see him in this state, he rather they are left with good memories of him. Aimei feels hurt for him upon hearing this. - Qiumei is upset over Lifen’s departure. Yuxiang reminds her that Lifen will probably head to the hospital to visit Jianzhou. When she reached the hospital, she found out Lifen has just left. - Qiaomei tells Jianzhou she cannot marry him and apologised to him. When Jianzhou expressed his relief at this news, Qiaomei is hurt and purposely tells him she changed her mind. Shanguo interrupted and tells Jianzhou that she is just joking. (en)
- Yuxiang bribes 4D to pose as a robber so as to frighten Shanguo into moving, but he fails. Shanguo tells her that he'd rather die with his money than give up his $4,000,000.
As one of Jinyin's mahjong kakis, Big Mouth Gang, was late to arrive at her mahjong session, they start with Qiaomei instead and she surprises them with her mahjong skills, despite claiming to not know anything about the game.
Aimei dirties her pants and returns home to shower, only to be peeped at by Big Mouth Gang when she drops her towel. Her scream is heard at Jinyin's house, but Qiaomei dismisses it as a small matter, saying that her granddaughters scream several times a day.
When she arrives home, Qiaomei asks Aimei about what had happened and Aimei tells her that she no longer has the will to live. Qiaomei tries to comfort her by telling her that she had to strip before, only to be chided by Yuxiang. (en)
- Janet purposely dressed inappropriately to a function with Jason. Jason finds its intolerable and quarrelled with her. As a result, Janet's hatred towards Zen increased. Janet takes it out on Liqin and he in turn ask Janet to confront Zen. An inebriated Janet throws eggs on Janet. H2O and Zen's relationship further improved when H2O blocked her from the eggs. (en)
- Liqin angrily dragged Aizhen home. Qiumei witnessed it and is afraid he might have the same violent tendencies as his father. Liqin accompanies Aizhen home. Aishan discovered Aizhen's wrist is bruised. Aizhen lied that she hurt herself but Aishan is suspicious. Aishan takes the opportunity to ask Aizhen about her married life, Aishan admits it is far different from her life then. (en)
- Aimei hopes Yue Guang will reconcile with Youqing but Yueguang hopes she can accepts her new love interest instead. Yue Guang goes for a job interview at a counselling centre but fails to get the job. However, the supervisor decided to give him the job after seeing Yue Gang successfully counselled a youth. (en)
- Aizhen and Liqin have dinner after attending the court. Aizhen does not understand why Liqin is so happy. Liqin tells her he is happy that the judge is able to see that Janet is just pretending to be mentally sick. Aizhen finally see Liqin's true colours, that he hates Janet and has a vengeful side. (en)
- Ah Bing and Aunt OK are bullied by gangsters. Youli is asked by Aunt Garbage to help them. Afraid, Youli’s intentions is just to call the police. Despite being blind, Ah Bing used her walking stick to beat off the gangsters. Youli is full of admiration for Ah Bing. (en)
- Aimei camped outside Yueguang's house, 4D is jealous. Both quarreled over this. Aimei later found out from Aishan that 4D lost his job. She is appreciative of all that he has done for her. Both eventually reconciled. (en)
- Yuxiang and Shanguo invited Janet over for dinner. Janet puts on a front but in reality, treats Aizhen with sarcasm. Aizhen bears with her. Janet purposely spills tea on herself and frames Aizhen for doing it. Fang Kai and Yuxiang believe Janet. Aizhen blows her top at Janet and tells her to stop acting. Shanguo bangs the table and scolds Aizhen for being rude. (en)
- Shanguo sneaked into Youli's house and is discovered by him. Shanguo pleads for leniency when Youli threaten to report to the police. Youli questioned Shanguo's motive for sneaking into his house and reached an agreement with Yuxiang. She agrees to let them be friends. (en)
- Dolly and Zen become friends over a game of pool. They have a drinking competition and both women end up returning home drunk. In her drunken state, Dolly seduces Hanwen. The next day, she quarrels with him, accusing him of taking advantage of her.
Aizhen knows that Liqin is allergic to the fur of teddy bears. However, she tells Qiumei that he adores them. When Qiumei shows up at her son's flat the next day, she is pushed out and Liqin throws the toy out of the window. Aizhen thinks that Qiumei may commit suicide and is relieved to see her leave the block safely.
Qiumei had murdered her husband on Liqin's birthday. Jinyin was so furious that she made a memorial tablet for Qiumei as well as her husband, telling Lifen that her mother was dead. Liqin asks Aizhen to help him keep that secret from Lifen. She ends up thinking that the two enemies had 'reconciled' and had become an item. Liqin is haunted by his past and could not concentrate on his studies. (en)
- Shuixian brought Shouye to visit Youqing. He is relieved when Youqing doesn't remember him. Youqing is happy to learn that Shouye is her father. Youli however is rude to Shouye and Shuixian and wants them to leave. At this point of time, Hanwen arrives to arrest Shouye. Shuixian is devastated when she sees Hanwen handcuffed her father personally. (en)
- Aishan, Lifen, Roland, Yue Guang and 4D played tennis. 4D and Aimei tried hard to act as a couple. Yue Guang sees through their ploy but does not expose them. Roland is touched when Lifen shows no fear over his skin condition. (en)
- Shouye is refused bail as he is involved in multiple drug trafficking as well as criminal cases. Shuixian is harassed by reporters. Suppressing her feelings, she treats Hanwen coldly and tells him she will never forgive him. Hanwen is at a loss. (en)
- Liqin dresses up as a ghost to scare the three sisters as revenge for Aishan's vomiting into his bag. Yuxiang is worried that it is Ah Quan’s soul. When their grandmother asked if they’ve done any wrong against him, all three sisters confess their guilt. Aimei develops a fever as a result.
Yuxiang and Shanguo offer Quansao a job at 899's rojak stall and Quansao gratefully accepts it. Yuxiang tells Quansao to tell Ah Quan's ghost to forgive and forget. Quansao is puzzled but feels obliged to do so.

- Youqing finallys wake up but suffers from amnesia. Though she is not able to remember anybody, Youqing undergoes a character change and becomes more positive in her outlook. Youli is sad but looking at how Youqing is able to move on, he feels happy for her. - Shuiguo keeps having nightmares and worries about Aunt OK dying. Qiumei tells Shuiguo to tell Aunt OK the truth years ago, and seek her forgiveness. - Yuxiang doesn’t know what to wear for the dinner with Janet. She gets even more upset when Helen tells her rich tai-tais don’t flaunt their branded labels to the public. - Janet accidentally stabs Zen and asked Liqin for help. Liqin took the opportunity and gave her a fatal stab. Janet thought she has killed someone and panics. Hanwen questioned Liqin and Liqin purposely mislead the police by telling them about Janet's hatred towards Zen. Janet fumbles during the questioning and becomes a prime suspect. (en)
- Jinyin gambles her money away and lies to Uncle Rojak that Qiaomei needs money urgently. Uncle Rojak is not convinced and gets Qiaomei's telephone number from Shanguo. - Shanguo and Yuxiang distribute full month cakes to the coffeshop tenants. They tells everyone that Weiren will bring them good luck. Hongzhong and Dried Chilli is jealous after witnessing this. (en)
- Shanguo showed Qiaomei the maid picture and tells her Yuxiang wanted to select the ugliest and fattest one. However, the agency is only left with pretty ones. Qiaomei tells Shanguo Yuxiang's rationale for not employing the pretty ones is because she is afraid Shanguo will be lured into temptation. Shanguo hinted that maids are not reliable, Qiaomei took the hint and tells him she will look after Yuxiang during her confinement if Shanguo is willing to pay her $2800 per month. - Shanguo intends to get Yuxiang a present for their wedding anniversary. He enlists the help of Shuiguo who suggested buying expensive gift. - Aizhen and Fang Kai are kidnapped by Liqin. Liqin forced Fang Kai and Aizhen to reveal the whereabouts of the suit or else he will beat them up. Yue Guang trailed Fang Kai and with Fang Kai's help, he manages to find them and tried to distract Liqin by hitting him with his crutches and save both Fang Kai and Aizhen. However, Liqin managed to disrupt him and beat him up, then caught hold of Aizhen and dragged her to the rooftop with a knife... (en)
- Aishan helps Shanguo settle the accounts for his coffeeshops but is unable to reconcile the missing money. Shanguo is heart pain and vows to catch the thief. He suspects Yuxiang of pilfering the money and gets her drunk so as to find out the truth. Yuxiang pretends to be drunk. Unaware, Shanguo is secretly elated to see his plan working when Yuxiang suddenly hits him on the head and tells him off for suspecting her! (en)
- Ah Bing and Fang Kai bumped into each other at the beach. Fang Kai helped Ah Bing to scatter her mother’s ashes. Both decided to end their lives by drowning. They were being spotted by Orbit and Obiang. (en)
- Yuxiang's sickness resurfaced and is caught stealing baby things. Shanguo pleads with the boss not to report this matter to the police. Fang Kai happened to pass by and help to resolve the matter. Shanguo, Aishan and Aizhen are grateful to Fang Kai. Liqin is angry over witnessing the whole scene. (en)
- Lifen begs Guoshan to give Quansao a job. However, Guoshan refuses to help as he is afraid that his wife would make an objection. Lifen tricks Aishan and Yuxiang into witnessing the sorrowful plight of Quansao and Yuxiang finally agrees to hire her.
Duoli is estranged from her husband, Hanwen, but they pretend to be a happy couple for the sake of their children. They divorce, promising to continue putting on an act for two more years, after which their daughter Xiaoxi would have completed her pre-University examinations. (en)
- Jason is discussing investment deals with Fang Kai when Janet barged in with a newspaper report and questioned his relationship with Zen. Fang Kai is shocked to discover that his father is the investor behind the movie company and is working with Zen. Jason admits and tells Janet he will agree to a divorce if she insists on having one. However his superior favours Nick and passes Liqin’s account to Nick instead. Liqin tries to reason with his superior. His superior sarcastically remarked that he came in because of connections. - Qiumei pressurizes Hanwen into giving her Jinyin's address. He relents after much pleading from the formal. Shanguo wants his mother to move with the family into the new house but Yuxiang objects. Qiaomei, listening at the door, is distressed because of this. Yuxiang and Shanguo go for a meeting with the new house's designer but Shanguo cancels it, much to Yuxiang's displeasure.
Aizhen meets Fang Kai while working on a project with Lifen. She is immediately attracted to his long sideburns and becomes infatutated with him. Back at 899, Qiumei asks Aizhen about Liqin's likes. Aizhen decides to use the opportunity to get back at her enemy.
Qiaomei takes up mahjong and discovers her talent after she repeatedly defeats Jinyin, famed for her mahjong prowess. Shanguo assures Qiaomei that she would not be forgotten after the move and she jokes that she would be content as long as she gets a regular supply of bird's nest. Yuxiang tries to raise money for the house's renovation by collecting money early from her coffeeshop tenants. (en)
- Shouye sends someone to snatch the thumbdrive back from Youqing. Yue Guang comes to her rescue, Youqing caught sight of his back amidst the chaos. Youli wants Youqing to resign after learning about the incicent and tells her not to keep in contact with Fang Kai anymore. Youqing refused and both siblings end up quarrelling. (en)
- Yuxiang conducts a meeting with the workers to investigate the diarrhoea case. Feeling guilty, Dried Chilli looks for an excuse to leave. Qiaomei is suspicious of her. Qiaomei, Aishan and Ah Chen searched the coffeeshop and manages to find evidence of the laxative. Qiaomei and Aishan discuss on they can get Dried Chilli to confess. (en)
- Yuxiang buys a high-end kitchen gadget and discovers she has maxed her credit card when paying for it. Left with no choice, she uses Aizhen’s card. Aizhen discovers Yuxiang does not have much money left in her bank account. Yuxiang tells everyone to contribute money to the new house. Aizhen is worried her father might leave home again when he finds out the huge sum of money Yuxiang has taken from him. (en)
- Aizhen and Qiumei discussed whether to send the blood-stained suit for forensic check. If the blood-stain belongs to Zen then it would means Liqin is the culprit. (en)
- Yuxiang suddenly experience contractions at home. Left with no choice, Youli helped to deliver the baby. Shanguo and Aishan witnessed the whole process. Shanguo is overjoyed to see his son. Aishan thanked Youli and say he is their benefactor. (en)
