- El Lincombià-Ranisià-Jerzmanowicià (LRJ) és una cultura apareguda a Europa a començaments del paleolític superior. La seva cronologia gira al voltant del 43.000 BP. El seu nom ve de les coves de Kent (Lincombe Hill, Regne Unit), Ranis-Ilsenhöhle (Alemanya) i de Nietoperzowa (Jerzmanowice, Polònia). Aquesta cultura lítica es caracteritza per la fabricació de puntes de ganivet en fulles llargues. Hi ha la teoria que aquesta indústria la van desenvolupar els darrers neandertals, tot i que alguns investigadors han suggerit que es podria tractar d'una cultura realitzada pels primers humans anatòmicament moderns a Europa. El material lític d'aquesta cultura és escàs, i rarament es troba als jaciments. Tot i així n'existeixen evidències per tot el nord-oest d'Europa, des de Gal·les fins a Polònia. (ca)

It is characterised by leaf points made on long blades, which are thought to have been made by the last Neanderthals, although some researchers have suggested that it could be a culture of the first anatomically modern humans in Europe. It is rarely found, but extends across northwest Europe from Wales to Poland. (en)

Répartition approximative du Lincombien-Ranisien-Jerzmanowicien Objets typiques pointes foliacées dites « pointes de Jerzmanowice », grattoirs Le Jerzmanowicien, encore appelé Lincombien-Ranisien-Jerzmanowicien (abrégé en LRJ), est un ensemble culturel archéologique datant de la transition entre Paléolithique moyen et Paléolithique supérieur en Europe, et s'étendant géographiquement de l'Angleterre (appellation de Lincombien d'après le site de Lincombe Hill), à l'Allemagne (Ranisien d'après de site de Ranis) et à la Pologne (Jerzmanowicien d'après la grotte éponyme, située près d'Ojców en Pologne). Les datations oscillent entre environ 43 000 et 39 000 ans calibrés avant le présent selon les endroits. Le complexe LRJ est à la transition entre les cultures du paléolithique moyen et du paléolithique supérieur : d'un côté il semble se rattacher à un moustérien présent en Europe du nord juste avant (pointes foliacées, débitage Levallois), de l'autre il semble inclure des technologies innovantes venues du Proche-Orient (burins, débitage laminaire). Successivement, des restes d'Homme de Néandertal dans la grotte de Spy et un maxillaire d'Homme moderne dans la grotte de Kent ont été associées à la culture du Jerzmanowicien, ces deux associations sont contestées. Le terme Altmühlien est parfois utilisé dans les anciennes publications pour évoquer la première phase du complexe LRJ en Allemagne; il est aujourd'hui rattaché au « Blattspitzen-gruppe » (voir de:Blattspitzen-Gruppe), culture à pointes foliacées du Paléolithique moyen, dont la filiation avec le LRJ n'est pas assurée. Nazwa kultury jerzmanowickiej związana jest z jaskinią Nietoperzową w eponimicznych Jerzmanowicach koło Ojcowa. Kultura ta rozwijała się w okresie od 38. tys. do ok. 30 tys. lat temu. Zespół zjawisk kulturowych utożsamianych z kulturą jerzmanowicką obejmował swym zasięgiem tereny dzisiejszej Anglii – jaskinia przez tereny Belgii – i Spy i Niemcy – , aż do obszarów południowej Polski – jaskinia Nietoperzowa. Do form przewodnich w kamiennych inwentarzach tej kultury należą ostrza liściowate obrobione bifacjalnie, narzędzia te wykonywane były za pomocą . Na stanowiskach kultury jerzmanowickiej poświadczona jest obecność narzędzi typu rylce, półtylczaki, a także retuszowane odłupki. Do głównych form mieszkalnych w kulturze jerzmanowickiej należy zaliczyć głównie stanowiska jaskiniowe, które miały charakter krótkotrwałych obozowisk łowców polujących na konie, zające polarne i prawdopodobnie na niedźwiedzie jaskiniowe. Jedyne znane stanowisko otwarte tej kultury znajduje się na terytorium Anglii w Glaston. Brak stanowisk otwartych na innych terenach Europy związane jest prawdopodobnie z ostatnim zlodowaceniem, którego osady skutecznie przykryły tego rodzaju stanowiska. (pl)
