- Bělásek hrachorový (Leptidea sinapis) je motýl z čeledi běláskovitých. Jde o jednoho z nejmenších bělásků (30–40 mm). Rozšířen je po celé Evropě, včetně Česka. Housenka motýla se vyvíjí například na hrachoru lučním, odtud název. Samice motýla má čistě bílé zbarvení, samci mají v rozích předních křídel tmavou skvrnu. V Česku je jeho výskyt ohrožen především zalesňováním. (cs)

- Der Senfweißling, auch Tintenfleck-Weißling oder Leguminosen-Weißling, ist ein Artkomplex dreier nah verwandter Tagfalter-Arten aus der Familie der Weißlinge (Pieridae). Bis 1989 wurden alle Populationen der Art Leptidea sinapis (Linnaeus, 1758) zugeordnet. Dann wurde erkannt, dass es sich um einen Komplex zweier kryptischer Arten handelt, die verlässlich nur anhand der Begattungsorgane unterscheidbar sind. Die neu erkannte Art wurde Leptidea reali Reissinger, 1989 genannt (Synonym: Leptidea lorkovicii Réal, 1988). 2011 stellte sich heraus, dass auch das, was vorher L. reali genannt wurde, in Wirklichkeit einen Komplex aus zwei Arten darstellt, die morphologisch überhaupt nicht unterscheidbar sind, sondern nur anhand ihrer DNA-Sequenz. Die dritte Art wurde als Leptidea juvernica Williams, 1946 abgetrennt. Während L. sinapis und L. juvernica weit verbreitet sind und auch in Mitteleuropa vorkommen, ist L. reali auf ein kleines Areal in Südwesteuropa beschränkt. (de)
- Leptidea sinapis, or the wood white butterfly of the family Pieridae, is a small white butterfly that is mainly found in England, Ireland, and Northern Europe. The butterfly has white wings with grey or yellow markings near the center or tip of the wing. It flies slowly and low over its shrubbery habitat. Males initiate courtship with females and can mate multiply, while females tend to only mate once in their lifetime. The wood white was added to the UK BAP Priority Species list in 2005 due to a substantial decline in the population, especially in England. This decline has been attributed to changes in woodland regions, including increased shade due to tree planting, and the failure to maintain woodland rides in a satisfactory way for wood whites to oviposit. Conservation efforts are currently striving to understand how to best maintain woodland regions and are examining the effect of climate change (particularly during the winter months) on egg survival.
