- Der Landtag Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ist gemäß Artikel 20 Absatz 1 Satz 1 Verfassung des Landes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern die Volksvertretung bzw. das Landesparlament von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Der Landtag Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ist damit auch ein Verfassungsorgan des Landes. (de)
- The Landtag of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the people's representative body or the state parliament of the German federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Thus it is also a constitutional body of the state. The Landtag convenes in Schwerin and currently consists of 79 members of six parties. The current majority is a red-red coalition of the Social Democratic Party and The Left, supporting the cabinet of Minister-President Manuela Schwesig. The main functions of the Landtag are the election of the Minister-President, the passage of laws controlling the state government. (en)
- El Parlamento Regional de Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental es el parlamento estatal (Landtag) del estado federado alemán de Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental. El parlamento fue establecido en 1946 y suprimido en 1952, luego de que el estado de Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental fuese suprimido debido a su pertenencia a la República Democrática Alemana (RDA). Se restableció en 1990 tras la reunificación alemana. Se reúne en el Palacio de Schwerin y en la actualidad se compone de 79 miembros. El gobierno actual consiste en una coalición entre el Partido Socialdemócrata de Alemania y Die Linke, en apoyo al gabinete de la Ministra-Presidenta Manuela Schwesig. Landtag Meklemburgii-Pomorza Przedniego jest również organem konstytucyjnym kraju związkowego. Wybory do parlamentu kraju związkowego są powszechne, bezpośrednie, wolne, równe i tajne. To samo dotyczy wyborów do niemieckiego Bundestagu i wyborów do 16 parlamentów krajowych w całych Niemczech. Obywatele mają możliwość oddania dwóch głosów. Pierwszym głosem wybiera się bezpośredniego kandydata danego okręgu wyborczego. Drugim głosem wybiera się partię i w ten sposób określa większość w parlamencie.
