- Das Kistefos-Museum (norwegisch Kistefos-Museet) ist ein norwegisches Industriemuseum mit Kunstgalerie und Skulpturenpark. Es liegt unweit südlich von Jevnaker am Kistefoss, einem Wasserfall der Randselva, die am Südende des Randsfjordsees bei Jevnaker beginnt und durch Hadeland in südliche Richtung nach Hønefoss fließt. Ursprung des 1996 gegründeten Industriemuseums ist eine ehemalige Holzmühle, die Kistefos Træsliberi („Kistefos Holzschleiferei“), die hier 1889 entstand und in der viele Jahrzehnte lang Zellstoff produziert wurde. Der dazu benötigte elektrische Strom wurde aus der Wasserkraft des nahen Kistefoss-Wasserfalls gewonnen. Im Jahr 1955 wurde die Zellstoffproduktion eingestellt. Die ehemalige Holzmühle ist nun ein Industriedenkmal und stellt als eine nahezu intakte alte Industrieanlage ein einzigartiges Denkmal der Anfänge der Industrialisierung Norwegens dar. Im Jahr 1999 wurde eine erste Kunstausstellung im historischen Gebäude eingerichtet. Inzwischen ist sie zum Mittelpunkt eines weitläufigen Skulpturengartens geworden, des Kistefos-Museets skulpturpark. Dieser ist ganzjährig geöffnet und zeigt mehr als vierzig zeitgenössische Skulpturen von renommierten Künstlern wie dem Kolumbianer Fernando Botero, dem Dänen Jeppe Hein, dem Briten Marc Quinn, der Japanerin Yayoi Kusama und anderen. Ein besonderer Anziehungspunkt ist The Twist („Die Wendung“), eine weitere Galerie, deren Gebäude selbst auch ein außergewöhnliches Kunstwerk darstellt, nämlich eine schraubenförmig gebaute Passage, die zudem zweckmäßig als Brücke über die Randselva führt. Das Museum wird von der Kistefos Museum Foundation finanziert, die durch Spenden von Christen Sveaas, einem Nachkommen des Gründers der Holzmühle, Anders Sveaas (1840–1917), und der Gemeinde Jevnaker entstand.

The art park first opened to the public in 1996 with an exhibition of 25 sculptures. Founded by Christen Sveaas, the biggest shareholder of Kistefos, a privately owned investment company, the museum sits on the site of a disused wood pulp mill and includes the Kistefossen waterfall. The 17.6-hectare art park runs around the Randselva river and the surrounding areas, including old factory buildings such as the pulp mill and other buildings leased by the Kistefos group. With donations from the Jevnaker municipality and Christen Sveaas, Kistefos holds two art galleries, a museum, and a sculpture park currently containing 46 sculptures, by both Norwegian and international artists. Kistefos Museum was listed as one of ten technical and industrial cultural heritage sites by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage, acting as a modern, industrial monument worth preserving as part of Norwegian and Scandinavian culture. Pappersmassafabriken Kistefos Træsliberi grundades 1889 av Anders Sveaas (1840–1917) vid vattenfallet Kistefossen i nedströms Jevnaker och drevs fram till ungefär 1956. Företagsgrundarens sonson Christen Sveaas köpte aktiemajoriteten i företaget 1993 och inordnade det under sitt helägda investmentbolag Kistefos AS. Kistefos-museet inrättades 1996 av Christen Sveaas i den tidigare fabriken med sin intakta produktionsutrustning. Där arrangeras också konstutställningar och utanför finns sedan 1999 Kistefos skulpturpark med norsk och utländsk samtidskonst, bland annat verk av Tony Cragg, Per Inge Bjørlo, Anish Kapoor och Fernando Botero. Museet har 2019 utvidgats med en separat 60 meter lång konsthallsbyggnad, kallad "Twist". Denna är ritad av Bjarke Ingels Group och är byggd som en bro över Randselva.
