K. K. Shailaja (born 20 November 1956) is an Indian politician and former Health Minister of Kerala who hails from Kannur district. Shailaja currently serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Mattanur constituency in 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly. She is a Central Committee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist). Before entering active politics, she worked as a high school physics teacher. In June(2020), Shailaja was honoured by the United Nations for her efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. She was among a few of the world leaders invited to speak on the occasion of the United Nations Public Service Day. K. K. Shailaja was awarded the CEU Open Society Prize for 2021.

Elle avait auparavant été élue députée de la circonscription de Kuthuparamba à deux reprises en 1996 et 2016 et de la circonscription de Peravoor en 2006. Elle a été ministre de la Santé, de la Justice sociale et du Développement de la femme et de l'enfant (Kerala) dans le premier ministère de Vijayan (2016-2021). Mais lors des élections de 2021 à l'Assemblée législative du Kerala, Shailaja a remporté la plus grande marge de tous les temps (plus de 60000 voix) dans l'histoire des élections à l'Assemblée législative du Kerala.
