- Centrální konzistoř je francouzská instituce, kterou císařským dekretem z roku 1808 založil Napoleon I. za účelem správy židovského kultu ve Francii. Po oddělení státu od církve v roce 1905 se židovské obce ve Francii přeměnily na židovské náboženské obce a shromáždily se v rámci Unie francouzských židovských obcí, která se i nadále nazývá Centrální konzistoří. Centrální konzistoř zahrnuje obce, které představují většinu velkých proudů judaismu, s výjimkou liberálních a ultraortodoxních. (cs)

- The Israelite Central Consistory of France (French: Consistoire central israélite de France) is an institution set up by Napoleon I by the Imperial Decree of 17 March 1808 to administer Jewish worship and congregations in France. He also directed the establishment of regional Israelite Consistories, subordinate to the Central Consistory, across France. The consistories were ranked as établissements publics du culte (public-law corporations of worship). Given Napoleon's political emancipation of the Jews, he wanted a representative body that could deal with his government. Following the separation of religion and state in 1905, the Israelite consistories lost their public-law status. Jewish congregations of France developed Jewish liturgical associations under an umbrella organisation called the Union of Jewish Congregations of France. It retained the name of Central Consistory for its executive body. The 12 members of the Central Consistory elect the Chief Rabbi of France. In the 21st century, France has the third-largest Jewish congregation after Israel and the United States. (en)
- Le Consistoire central israélite de France est l'institution créée en 1808 par Napoléon Ier pour administrer le culte israélite en France, sur le modèle des deux autres religions officielles (catholique et protestante). Il nomme le grand-rabbin de France. À la suite de la séparation des Églises et de l'État en 1905, l'institution publique officielle du Consistoire cesse d'exister. Aujourd'hui le Consistoire est une institution représentative de la religion juive de France. Il ne faut pas le confondre avec le Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France qui est une association, dont la vocation est de représenter toutes les tendances de la communauté juive française.
