- L'International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) és una associació comercial per a la indústria editorial digital, creada per establir un estàndard per a la publicació de llibres electrònics. És responsable de la norma EPUB utilitzada actualment per la majoria dels e-readers. A partir de l'Open eBook Publication Structure o "OEB" (1999), creada lliurement a partir d'HTML, es defineix llavors la OPS (Open Publication Structure), l'OPF (Open Format Packaging) i l'OCF (Open Container Format). Aquests formats són la base de l'EPUB. Si bé les normes bàsiques estan establerts (pàgines, hipervincles, definició de taula de continguts, autors, etc.), algunes altres normes tenen a veure amb el camp del maquinari, com ara els de l'energia i les característiques dels dispositius de lectura de maquinari, i encara estan canviant i evolucionant. Altres normes per al comerç electrònic (inclosa la gestió de drets digitals), estan lligats a la forma en què el llibre electrònic és venut o lliurat, i per tant estan controlats pels venedors. (ca)
- المنتدى الدولي للنشر الرقمي (بالإنجليزية: The International Digital Publishing Forum) أو اختصاراً IDPF هو جمعية دولية تُعنى بمعايير النشر الرقمي، والتي أنشئت من أجل إنشاء معايير موثوقة وكاملة لنشر الكتب الرقمية. ابتداءً من بنية نشر الكتب الرقمية مفتوحة المصدر OEB عام 1999، والتي تم إنشائها على نحو HTML، وبعدها تم تحديد بنية النشر مفتوح المصدر Open Publication Structure وصيغة التغليف مفتوحة المصدر Open Packaging Format وصيغة الحاوي مفتوح المصدر. هذه الصيغ هي أساسات صيغ ملفات كتب EPUB وMobipocket الرقمية. بينما بدأت المعايير الأساسية (الصفحات، الوصلات والروابط، تعرف جدول المحتويات، المؤلفون، إلخ...) بعض المعايير الأخرى تقاطع مجال الجهاز، مثل معايير الطاقة ومميزات أجهزة القراءة، وما زالت تمر بمرحلة تغيرات وتطور. بعض المعايير الأخرى التي تخص التجارة الإلكترونية (متضمنة حماية إدارة الحقوق الرقمية) ترتبط بالطريقة التي تباع بها الكتب الرقمية أو توصّل، لذا يتم التحكم بها من قبل الباعة المختصين. - The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) was a trade and standards association for the digital publishing industry, set up to establish a standard for electronic book publishing. It was responsible for the EPUB standard currently used by most e-readers. Starting from the Open eBook (OEB) Publication Structure (1999), created loosely around HTML, it then defined the OPS (Open Publication Structure), the OPF (Open Packaging Format) and the OCF (Open Container Format). These formats are the basis for EPUB. While the basic standards are established (pages, hyperlinks, definition of table of contents, authors, etc.), the hardware field intersects with some other standards, such as those for power of the hardware reader devices, and as of 2017 are still developing. Standards for ecommerce (including Digital Rights Management) are tied to the way the ebook is sold or delivered and are therefore controlled by vendors. On January 30, 2017, IDPF was combined with and absorbed into the World Wide Web Consortium. (en)
