- International Chemical Safety Cards (ICSC) are data sheets intended to provide essential safety and health information on chemicals in a clear and concise way. The primary aim of the Cards is to promote the safe use of chemicals in the workplace and the main target users are therefore workers and those responsible for occupational safety and health.The ICSC project is a joint venture between the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) with the cooperation of the European Commission (EC). This project began during the 1980s with the objective of developing a product to disseminate the appropriate hazard information on chemicals at the workplace in an understandable and precise way. The Cards are prepared in English by ICSC participating institutions and peer reviewed in semiannual meetings before being made public. Subsequently, national institutions translate the Cards from English into their native languages and these translated Cards are also published on the Web. The English collection of ICSC is the original version. To date approximately 1700 Cards are available in English in HTML and PDF format. Translated versions of the Cards exist in different languages: Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Spanish and others. The objective of the ICSC project is to make essential health and safety information on chemicals available to as wide an audience as possible, especially at the workplace level. The project aims to keep on improving the mechanism for the preparation of Cards in English as well as increasing the number of translated versions available; therefore, welcomes the support of additional institutions who could contribute not only to the preparation of ICSC but also to the translation process. - Las Fichas Internacionales de (Fichas ICSC) son hojas de datos destinadas a proporcionar información esencial sobre seguridad y salud en la utilización de productos químicos de una manera clara y concisa. El objetivo principal de las fichas es promover el uso seguro de los productos químicos en el lugar de trabajo y los destinatarios principales son por lo tanto los trabajadores y los responsables de la seguridad y la salud en el trabajo. El proyecto ICSC (por su nombre en inglés International Chemical Safety Cards) es una empresa conjunta entre la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT), con la cooperación de la Comisión Europea (CE). Este proyecto se inició durante la década de 1980 con el objetivo de desarrollar un producto para difundir la información apropiada sobre los peligros de los productos químicos en el lugar de trabajo de una forma comprensible y precisa. Las fichas se preparan en inglés por expertos de las instituciones participantes del proyecto y son revisadas por los mismos expertos en reuniones semestrales antes de hacerlas públicas. Posteriormente, las instituciones nacionales traducen las fichas en inglés a los idiomas correspondientes y estas versiones traducidas también se publican en la Web. La colección de Fichas en inglés es la versión original. Hasta la fecha, aproximadamente 1700 fichas están disponibles en inglés en formato HTML y PDF. Las versiones traducidas de las fichas existen en diferentes idiomas: español, finlandés, francés, húngaro, italiano, japonés, polaco y otros. El objetivo del proyecto es hacer que la información esencial en materia de seguridad y salud en la utilización de productos químicos esté a disposición de un público tan amplio como sea posible, especialmente en el lugar de trabajo. El proyecto aspira a seguir mejorando el mecanismo para la preparación de las fichas en inglés, así como a aumentar el número de las versiones traducidas disponibles, por lo que agradece el apoyo de las instituciones que puedan contribuir no sólo a la preparación de las Fichas, sino también al proceso de traducción. - De International Chemical Safety Card (afkorting: ICSC) is een type veiligheidsinformatieblad dat veiligheids- en gezondheidsinformatie verschaft omtrent een aantal chemische stoffen. Deze informatie is verzameld door ervaringsdeskundigen en goedgekeurd in een vergadering van experts. Ze worden gepubliceerd door het (IPCS), in samenwerking met de Europese Commissie en een aantal lokale instellingen. De kaarten zijn beschikbaar in HTML- of pdf-formaat en in 18 verschillende talen (Chinees, Duits, Engels, Estisch, Fins, Frans, Hindi, Hongaars, Italiaans, Japans, Koreaans, Nederlands, Russisch, Spaans, Swahili, Thai, Urdu en Vietnamees). In het Engels zijn er 1491 kaarten verkrijgbaar, in het Nederlands 1033. De internationale versie, die in het Engels gepubliceerd wordt door IPCS en de Europese Commissie, vormt de basis voor alle vertalingen. Zij bevat informatie die in eender welk land kan gebruikt worden en verwijst alleen naar internationale akkoorden indien dit wordt vereist. De Nederlandstalige versie wordt verzorgd door de afdeling Toxicologie van het (FOD Volksgezondheid, Veiligheid van de Voedselketen en Leefmilieu in België) en kan bijkomende nationale informatie bevatten in overeenstemming met de Belgische wetgeving. - Międzynarodowa karta bezpieczeństwa chemicznego (ang. International Chemical Safety Card, ICSC) – dokument będący krótkim podsumowaniem danych dotyczących bezpiecznego użycia substancji chemicznej oraz zagrożeń i ryzyka stwarzanych przez tę substancję. Karty przygotowywane są w ramach Międzynarodowego Programu Bezpieczeństwa Chemicznego we współpracy z Komisją Europejską i innymi instytucjami. Karty publikowane są w języku angielskim w oparciu o szablon zawierający kilkaset standardowych zwrotów, ułatwiających tłumaczenie na inne języki, z których wybierane są odpowiednie dla danej substancji. W chwili obecnej karty tłumaczone są na 16 języków (chiński, fiński, francuski, hindi, hiszpański, japoński, koreański, niderlandzki, niemiecki, polski, rosyjski, suahili, tajski, urdu, węgierski, włoski). Tłumaczeniem na język polski zajmuje się Instytut Medycyny Pracy im. prof. Jerzego Nofera w Łodzi. W listopadzie 2017 roku w języku angielskim dostępnych było ponad 1700 kart. (pl)

- ICSC, International Chemical Safety Card, är en kortfattad beskrivning på två sidor av egenskaperna för hälso- och miljöfarliga kemikalier, avsett som allmän information för alla som hanterar ämnet ifråga. Korten tas fram genom ett samarbete mellan FN:s miljöprogram (UNEP), Internationella arbetsorganisationen (ILO) och Världshälsoorganisationen (WHO). Råd ges för olycksförebyggande åtgärder samt vad som i första hand bör göras vid inträffad olycka med ämnet. Originaltexten är engelska, och finns i både HTML-form och som dokument i Portable Document Format (pdf). Texten finns (2015) på följande språk: Ännu (2015) finns ingen översättning till svenska. Sverige är f n (2015) ej heller representerat i någon av de arbetsgrupper som sysslar med ICSC-frågor. ICSC är inte någon tvingande föreskrift, utan ska bara tjäna upplysningsvis. Avvikelser kan förekomma i nationella bestämmelser. Listan börjar med nr 0001 som är hydrogen (vätgas), den enklaste atom vi känner. Den posten tillkom på 1980-talet. I mitten av 2015 har man hunnit fram till nr 1 763. Listan sväller hela tiden alltefter det nya farliga kemikalier ser dagens ljus. Den aktualiseras halvårsvis. (sv)
- Международные карты химической безопасности (International Chemical Safety Cards, ICSC) представляют собой листы, на которых приводится информация о свойствах химических веществ, используемых в промышленности и быту. Информация излагается в унифицированной и наглядной форме, доступной для восприятия. Форма и содержание Карт согласованы экспертами в рамках Международной Программы по Химической Безопасности. Карты разрабатывались совместно тремя международными организациями: Всемирной организацией здравоохранения (ВОЗ), Международной организацией труда (МОТ) и Программой ООН по окружающей среде (UNEP). Эта совместная работа проводилась в рамках Международной программы химической безопасности в 1980-х, и конечной её целью было собрать, упорядочить и систематизировать информацию о химических веществах, представляющих опасность для человека (и окружающей среды), и распространить её в удобной и доступной форме. Первоначально карты были разработаны на английском языке, опубликованы, их содержание было рассмотрено на встречах (специалистов) после публикации. Затем содержание было переведено на другие языки (на сайте МОТ): немецкий, итальянский, французский, венгерский, датский, финский, японский, польский. Были сделаны переводы на хинди, эстонский и китайский языки. В 1999г в Научно-исследовательском институте экологии человека и гигиены окружающей среды им. А.Н.Сысина Российской Академии Медицинских Наук (НИИ ЭЧ и ГОС им. А.Н.Сысина РАМН) сотрудниками лаборатории комплексного эколого-гигиенического нормирования был сделан перевод части карт на русский язык, и они бесплатно доступны для просмотра на сайте Института промышленной безопасности.
