- مؤسسة المهندسين الكهربائيين (IEE) هي منظمة مهنية بريطانية مختصة بالإلكترونيات، الكهرباء، الصناعة، وتقنية المعلومات، وبالمنهدسين الإلكترونيين بشكل خاص. تأسست هذه المنظمة في عام 1871 على هيئة جمعية مهندسي تلغراف، ثم تغير اسمها في عام 1880إلى جمعية مهندسي وكهربائيي تلغراف، وتغير اسمها مرة أخرى في عام 1889 ليصبح مؤسسة المهندسين الكهربائيين. في عام 2006 اندمجت هذه المؤسسة مع مؤسسة المهندسين المتحدين (IIE) لتشكيل (IET). كان مؤسسة المهندسين الكهربائيين أكبر مؤسسة جمعية للهندسة في أوروبا حيث وصل عدد أعضائها حول العالم إلى حوالي 120.000. Sie wurde 1871 gegründet und ging 2006 gemeinsam mit der in der Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) auf. Diskussionen über den Zusammenschluss der Institution of Electrical Engineers und der Institution of Incorporated Engineers begannen 2004, danach folgte eine Abstimmung unter den Mitgliedern und aufgrund der Unterstützung für den Zusammenschluss wurde dieser am 31. März 2006 vollzogen. Vor 2006 war die IEE die größte europäische technische Standesvertretung mit einer Mitgliederzahlt von rund 120.000. Sie verleihen jährlich die Faraday-Medaille (IEE). (de)

- De Institution of Electrical Engineers of IEE (uitgesproken als [ay-dubbel-ie:]) was een Britse beroepsorganisatie van ingenieurs op het gebied van de elektronica en informatica die in 2006 is opgegaan in de Institution of Engineering and Technology. Het was verreweg de grootste organisatie op zijn gebied in Europa. De IEE is opgericht in 1871 onder de naam Society of Telegraph Engineers. In 1880 werd de naam veranderd in Society of Telegraph Engineers and Electricians. De huidige naam dateert van 1889. De organisatie heeft diverse beroemde voorzitters gehad, zoals Lord Kelvin, Joseph Swan en Sebastian Ziani. Het eerste aspirant-lid van deze organisatie was Gertrude Lilian Entwisle.
