- رئيس جمهورية داغستان (بالروسية: Президент Республики Дагестан) - هو المسؤول الأعلى في جمهورية داغستان، ويرأس السلطة التنفيذية لجمهورية داغستان. على الرئيس الداغستاني حفظ الدستور الفدرالي (الروسي) ودستور وقوانين جمهورية داغستان، وكذلك مساواة بين القوميات وحفظ حقوق وحريات الإنسان والمواطن، والحفاظ على سلامة الوحدة الوطنية لجمهورية داغستان وروسيا الاتحادية. يمكن لأي مواطن روسي أن يرشح نفسه للمنصب الرئاسي، وفترة الرئاسة في داغستان أربع سنوات. حتى نهاية عام 2012 م كان رئيس داغستان يعين من قبل الرئيس الروسي، إذ قام رئيس داغستان محمد سلام محمدوف بتعديل في الدستور الداغستاني لينص على أن المواطنين هم الذين يختارون رئيسهم بالانتخابات الحرة المباشرة. في 28 يناير 2013 م قام رئيس الدولة بإقالة محمد سلام محمدوف من منصبه وبتعيين رمضان عبد اللطيفوف قائما بأعمال رئيس جمهورية داغستان حتى موعد الانتخابات القادمة. - The Head of the Republic of Dagestan is the highest official and the head of the executive power of the Republic of Dagestan. The Head is Dagestan’s Head of State and Head of Government. The Head of Dagestan’s duty is to ensure compliance with the Russian Constitution and federal laws and the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Dagestan, as well as the equality of nations and the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, and the preservation of the unity and territorial integrity of the Republic of Dagestan. The Head of the Republic can not be a person aged under 30. The term of office is four years. The position is appointed by the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan. Since 5 October 2020, the position of Head of the Republic of Dagestan has been held by Sergey Melikov. (en)
