- Hans Peter Doskozil (* 21. Juni 1970 in Vorau, Steiermark) ist ein österreichischer Politiker (SPÖ). Er ist Landeshauptmann des Burgenlandes und Landesparteivorsitzender der SPÖ Burgenland. Von 21. Dezember 2017 bis 28. Februar 2019 war er burgenländischer Landesrat für Kultur, Infrastruktur und Finanzen in der Landesregierung Niessl IV. Von 26. Jänner 2016 bis 18. Dezember 2017 war er Bundesminister für Landesverteidigung und Sport in den Bundesregierungen Faymann II und Kern. Davor war er Landespolizeidirektor im Burgenland. (de)

De 2016 à 2017, il est ministre fédéral de la Défense nationale et des Sports. Il amène son parti en tête des Élections régionales de 2020 dans le Burgenland, qui voient la victoire surprise du SPÖ, jusque là en coalition et qui décroche seul la majorité absolue des sièges. Cette victoire, à contre-sens de la tendance à la baisse du parti au niveau national, est attribuée à la stratégie d'Hans Peter Doskozil d'un virage vers la droite sur les questions migratoires et sécuritaires.
