- Die HMCS Halifax (FFH 330) ist eine Fregatte der Halifax-Klasse der Royal Canadian Navy. Sie ist nach der kanadischen Stadt Halifax benannt. Die Halifax wurde von 1987 und 1988 von „Saint John Shipbuilding“ in Saint John, New Brunswick, gebaut und 1992 in den operativen Dienst aufgenommen. Nach dem Absturz von Swissair-Flug 111 war sie an der Such- und Bergungsoperation beteiligt. Nachdem die Halifax im Januar 2010 nach dem Erdbeben in Haiti wiederum zur Hilfe eingesetzt wurde, kam sie ab September des Jahres als erstes Schiff ihrer Klasse zur Generalüberholung im Rahmen des FrigatE Life EXtension (FELEX)–Programmes. Halifax is the lead ship in her class which is the name for the Canadian Patrol Frigate Project. She is the second vessel to carry the designation HMCS Halifax. She carries the hull classification symbol FFH 330. She is assigned to Maritime Forces Atlantic (MARLANT) and is homeported at CFB Halifax in her namesake city, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a name that was also borne by HMCS Halifax (K237), a Flower-class corvette during the Second World War as well as the first warship built in Halifax, HMS Halifax (1768).
