Gustaaf Hulstaert (1900–1990) was a Belgian missionary who served with the Missionaries of Scheut in the Belgian Congo from 1925. A keen entomologist, Hulstaert was interested in the Lepidoptera and before his posting to the Congo studied insects from the Dutch East Indies (including Dutch New Guinea) sent to him by other missionaries. En 1925, il part pour le Congo en tant que missionnaire religieux. Il y passe la majeure partie de sa vie et y décède en 1990.
