- Burgaský záliv (bulharsky Бургаски залив) je největší záliv na pobřeží Bulharska a nejzápadnější výběžek Černého moře. Vstup do zálivu je vymezen mysy Emine a , vzdálenými od sebe 41 kilometrů. Záliv se postupně zužuje až k přístavnímu městu Burgas, do pevniny se zařezává do hloubky 31 km. Na jihu z něj vybíhá menší . Maximální hloubka činí 25 metrů a salinita 17 ‰. Záliv zmapoval a pojmenoval roku 1784 francouzský inženýr v osmanských službách . Pobřeží slouží k rekreaci, nacházejí se zde letoviska Sozopol, Pomorie a Nesebar. Sie trägt seit 1784 den Namen der Hafenstadt Burgas und ist die größte bulgarische und einer der größten im Schwarzen Meer überhaupt. Andere Städte, die in der Bucht liegen, sind Sosopol, Pomorie und Nessebar. Die Bucht von Burgas ist der westlichste Punkt des Schwarzen Meeres. Der Franzose André-Joseph Lafitte-Clavé, der als Teil einer osmanischen Reformkommission das westliche Schwarzmeer besuchte, bezeichnete 1784 Burgas als wichtigste Stadt in der Bucht und als Erster die Bucht unter dem Namen Bucht von Burgas, mit der Bemerkung, dass diese zuvor unter Bucht von Poros bekannt war. Auch gelegentlich nach 1784 wurde sie als Bucht von Poros oder Bucht von Foros, nach dem Hafenort Poros/Foros (heute Kraimorie, Stadtteil von Burgas) bezeichnet. Die Bucht verengt sich nach Westen, wo sie an die Burgasseen grenzt. Der nördlichste Punkt der Burgasbucht ist das Kap Emine, der südlichste das Kap Maslen Nos. In der Bucht liegen mehrere Inseln. Davon sind die Inseln Sweti Iwan und Sweta Anastasia die größten. (de)

It is 44 km at its widest and 25 m at its deepest, reaching 31 km at its greatest innermost extent, approximately where the Bulgarian city and major port of Burgas is located. Other towns in the region include Pomorie, Sozopol and Nesebar. The Burgas Bay is the Black Sea's westernmost point. The bay gets narrow to the west. While the northern coast is lower and has two big peninsulas, at Nesebar and Pomorie, the southern part of the bay is rougher, with many little inlets and headlands. The water's salinity in the bay is 17‰; the sand is of magnetite origin. The Burgas Lakes are located in the wetlands to the west. There are several small islands in the southern part of Burgas Bay, most notably St. Ivan Island and St. Peter Island, St. Anastasia Island (the old Bolshevik), St. Thomas Island (popularly the Snake Island).
