At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he finished seventh in the team large hill, 37th in the individual large hill, and 48th in the individual normal hill events. Landert competed at the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo, finishing seventh in the team large hill, 40th in the individual large hill, and 49th in the individual normal hills events. His best finishes at the Ski flying World Championships was sixth in the team event in 2006 and 23rd in the individual event in 2008. He retired following the 2007-08 World Cup season. (en)

Po sezonie 2007/2008 postanowił zakończyć karierę. 14 marca 2008, w swoim ostatnim sezonie ustanowił na Letalnicy swój rekord życiowy wynoszący 208 metrów. Początkowo uprawiał również kombinację norweską. W dyscyplinie tej między innymi punktował w Letnim Grand Prix 2003, a rok później zajął 9. lokatę w jednych z zawodów zaliczanych do tego cyklu. W sezonie 2004/2005 punktował także w Pucharze Kontynentalnym, plasując się najwyżej w pojedynczym konkursie na 10. pozycji. Kilkukrotnie startował w mistrzostwach świata juniorów – indywidualnie zajmował najwyżej miejsca pod koniec drugiej dziesiątki, a drużynowo w 2003 zajął 4. miejsce. (pl)
