- Geneva Call is a non-governmental organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. It is currently focusing its efforts on banning the use of anti-personnel mines, protecting children from the effects of armed conflict, prohibiting sexual violence in armed conflict, working towards the elimination of gender discrimination and building armed non-State actors’ knowledge and implementation of broad International Humanitarian Law (IHL) rules. Since 2015 it has been studying the protection of cultural heritage in conflicts involving armed non-state actors (ANSAs), which comprise the majority of current armed conflicts worldwide. In 2018, Geneva Call started engaging ANSAs on the topics of displacement and medical care. Since 2021, the NGO has broadened its scope and has started to engage ANSAs on the prevention of starvation and conflict-related food insecurity. (en)
- L’Appel de Genève (anglais Geneva Call) est une organisation humanitaire internationale ayant pour but l’amélioration de la protection des civils dans les zones où des acteurs armés non étatiques (ou d’États non reconnus) sont actifs ou contrôlent le territoire. Son action se concentre sur l'interdiction de l'utilisation des mines antipersonnel, la protection des enfants contre les effets des conflits armés, l'interdiction de la violence sexuelle dans les conflits armés, l'élimination de la discrimination fondée sur le sexe et le renforcement de la connaissance et de la mise en œuvre des règles générales du droit international humanitaire (DIH) par les acteurs armés non étatiques.
