- جودت بهجت (ولد في فترة الستينات) هو أستاذ العلوم السياسية في جامعة الدفاع الوطني في الولايات المتحدة . ولد بهجت ونشأ في القاهرة بمصر وحصل على درجات علمية من جامعة القاهرة والجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، هاجر إلى الولايات المتحدة وحصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة ولاية فلوريدا عام 1991. عمل بهجت أستاذًا للعلوم السياسية في جامعة إنديانا في بنسلفانيا من 1995 إلى 2009 حيث كان أيضًا مديرًا لمركز دراسات الشرق الأوسط. في 2006-2007 حصل على جائزة الكلية المتميزة للبحث. نشر بهجت العديد من الكتب والفصول والمقالات حول مواضيع مختلفة بما في ذلك سياسات النفط والانتشار النووي ومنطقة الخليج العربي وبحر قزوين، ترجمت أعماله إلى العربية والروسية والألمانية والإيطالية والبرتغالية واليابانية. في عام 2010 ، بدأ بهجت التدريس في جامعة الدفاع الوطني في واشنطن العاصمة. - Gawdat Bahgat (born c. 1960s) is a professor of political science at the National Defense University. Bahgat was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt and earned degrees at Cairo University and American University in Cairo. He emigrated to the United States and earned his Ph.D at Florida State University in 1991. Bahgat served as a professor of political science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2009 where he also was the Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. In 2006–07 he earned the Distinguished Faculty Award for research. Bahgat has published numerous books, chapters, and articles on various subjects including oil politics, nuclear proliferation and the Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea regions. His works have been translated into Arabic, Russian, German, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. In 2010, Bahgat began teaching at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. (en)
