- Fury (retitled Brave Stallion in syndicated reruns) is an American Western television series that aired on NBC from 1955 to 1960. It stars Peter Graves as Jim Newton, who operates the Broken Wheel Ranch in California; Bobby Diamond as Jim's adopted son, Joey Clark Newton, and William Fawcett as ranch hand Pete Wilkey. Roger Mobley co-starred in the two final seasons as Homer "Packy" Lambert, a friend of Joey's. The frequent introduction to the show depicts the beloved stallion running inside the corral and approaching the camera as the announcer reads: "FURY!...The story of a horse...and a boy who loves him." Fury is the first American series to be produced originally by Television Programs of America and later by the British-based company ITC Entertainment. Outdoor footage for the series was filmed primarily on the Iverson Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, California, throughout the five-season run of the series, with some of the earliest footage for the series shot on the Garner Ranch in Idyllwild, Califoria. One episode, "Packy, the Lion Tamer", which premiered on January 2, 1960, included footage shot at Jungleland USA in Thousand Oaks, California, and occasional footage appearing during the series was shot at Corriganville Movie Ranch near Simi Valley, California. - Furia o Furia cavallo del West, (Fury) è una serie televisiva statunitense trasmessa per la prima volta dal 1955 al 1960. Il titolo italiano deriva dalle parole della sigla; negli USA la serie è stata ribattezzata "Brave Stallion" nelle riedizioni successive. Le prime serie televisive ad avere come protagonista un attore bambino si incentravano tutte sul legame stabilitosi tra un ragazzino ed il suo cane. Così era stato con Tommy Rettig in Lassie (1954-1957) e Lee Aaker in Le avventure di Rin Tin Tin (1954-1959). Nel settembre del 1955 furono lanciate due nuove serie televisive: Le avventure di Campione con e Frida con , che riproducevano la stessa formula legata però alla figura di un cavallo. Non durarono che lo spazio di una stagione; entrambe furono spazzate via dall'ultimo arrivato (ottobre 1955) per l'immediato e straordinario successo che Bobby Diamond e il suo cavallo "Fury" ebbero sullo schermo. Singolarmente, in tutte queste serie televisive che avevano per protagonista un ragazzino e il suo cavallo o il suo cane (o entrambi), con l'unica eccezione di Frida il piccolo protagonista era sempre un orfano (o di padre o di madre o di entrambi).
