- يقع محجر فوربس في الوجه الشمالي من صخرة جبل طارق في جبل طارق. وخلال القرن التاسع عشر تم استخراج الحجر في سياق استغلال المحاجر، وتم العثور على كهف من الحجر الجيري. وعثر بواسطة ادموند فلينت على جمجمة عرفت باسم جبل طارق 1 وهي تعود تعود لأنثى بالغة من لنوع نياندرتال وذلك في عام 1848. (ar)
- Forbes' Quarry is located on the northern face of the Rock of Gibraltar within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The area was quarried during the 19th century to supply stone for reinforcing the fortress' military installations. In the course of the quarrying, a limestone cave was found. The second ever Neanderthal discovery was made within this cave when Cpt. Edmund Flint found the skull of an adult female Neanderthal in 1848. (en)
- La carrière de Forbes est située sur la face nord du Rocher de Gibraltar dans la réserve naturelle d’Upper Rock qui fait partie du territoire britannique d'outre-mer de Gibraltar. Cette carrière a été exploitée pendant le XIXe siècle pour fournir des pierres servant à renforcer les installations militaires de la forteresse. L'exploitation du calcaire a recoupé une grotte au sein de laquelle a mis au jour le crâne d'une néandertalienne adulte en 1848. Historiquement, il s'agit de la deuxième découverte d'ossements fossiles pour cette espèce éteinte et elle a donc été réalisée antérieurement à la description scientifique d'Homo neanderthalensis (1864).
