- The Fokker F.25 Promotor, first flown in 1946, was a single-engined, twin-boomed, four-seat passenger monoplane with a pusher engine mounted at the rear of a central nacelle. It was of wooden construction and has fitted with a retractable nosewheel undercarriage. One feature of the design was that instead of a 2 + 2 seating, the pilot sat in front to the left, and all three passengers were on a bench seat to the rear of him. Alternatively, when being used as an air ambulance aircraft, it could carry a patient on a stretcher, which was loaded through a hatch in the aircraft's nose. The F.25 was evocative of the pre-war G.I design. The F.25 was based upon the design of the aircraft, home-built and -designed during World War II by Frits Diepen, a Ford garage owner from Tilburg, the Netherlands. His intention was to create an easy to fly personal aircraft. Due to the war an aircraft engine was not available and instead it used a Ford V-8. Although 20 F.25 aircraft were constructed, sales were disappointing as it could not compete in cost with thousands of surplus aircraft on the market following the war. (en)

- De Fokker F.25 Promotor was een vierpersoons zakenvliegtuig met een en twee dat in een kleine serie werd gebouwd door de Nederlandse vliegtuigbouwer Fokker. Het toestel werd nagenoeg exclusief ontworpen voor de Frits Diepen Vliegtuigen N.V. en vertoonde veel gelijkenis met het Difoga 421-vliegtuig dat in het geheim in de Tweede Wereldoorlog was ontwikkeld. Dit eerste naoorlogse model van Fokker maakte zijn eerste vlucht op 20 oktober 1946. Tijdens de proefvluchten werd de berekende snelheid niet gehaald omdat de romp meer luchtweerstand bood dan verwacht. De romp werd daarop verlengd, maar dit bracht weer andere problemen met zich mee. De propelleras moest nu ook worden verlengd, maar door de trilling van de verlengde as raakten nu de aslagers defect. De toekomst voor de F.25 zag er niet goed uit. Niet alleen wegens deze technische problemen, maar ook omdat er veel aanbod was van soortgelijke vliegtuigen, nu in Amerika duizenden oorlogsvliegtuigen werden omgebouwd voor privé/zakelijk gebruik. Fokker werkte tegelijkertijd aan de S.11. Uiteindelijk werd het project voor de F.25 in 1949 stopgezet. De 21ste F.25 was toen in aanbouw. Alle F.25's zijn inmiddels gesloopt. (nl)
