- مدارس التعلم القائم على المشروعات هي نماذج للإصلاح المدرسي القائم على الأفكار التعليمية للتربوي الألماني كورت هان مؤسس منظمة أوتورد باوند، ويوجد هذا النوع من التعلم في ما يزيد عن 150 مدرسة في 30 ولاية إلى جانب مقاطعة كولومبيا. ويمكن تمثيل هذه المدارس برحلات للتعلم القائم على المشروعات ينخرط فيها الطلاب في دراسة متعمقة ومتعددة التخصصات لمواضيع مهمة في مجموعات وفي المجتمع، مع تقييم الطالب من خلال النواتج التراكمية والعروض التقديمية العامة ومجموعة الأعمال التي يقدمها. ويؤكد هذا النموذج على مستويات عالية من مشاركة الطالب والإنجاز وتنمية الشخصية. - Expeditionary Learning Schools are models of comprehensive school reform based on the educational ideas of German educator Kurt Hahn, the founder of Outward Bound. There are more than 150 Expeditionary Learning Schools in 30 US states and the District of Columbia. They feature project-based learning expeditions, where students engage in interdisciplinary, in-depth study of compelling topics, in groups and in their community, with assessment coming through cumulative products, public presentations, and portfolios. According to the ELS website students undertake tasks requiring perseverance, fitness, craftsmanship, imagination, self-discipline, and significant achievement. (en)
