- L'Associació Europea d'Arqueòlegs (AEA) (en anglès: European Association of Archaeologists, EAA) és una associació sense ànim de lucre oberta a arqueòlegs i altres persones o organismes relacionats o interessats a Europa i més enllà. Va ser fundada el 1994 en una reunió inaugural a Ljubljana, Eslovènia, on els seus estatuts van ser aprovats formalment, i reconeguts pel Consell d'Europa el 1999. L'AEA compta amb més de 11.000 membres de 60 països de tot el món, que treballen en arqueologia de diferents cronologies des de la prehistòria fins a l'època contemporània. L'AEA realitza una conferència anual i publica la revista insígnia d'arqueologia europea, l'European Journal of Archaeology. També publica un butlletí intern, The European Archaeologist (TEA). El domicili social de l'associació es troba a Praga, República Txeca. Atorga premis i honors rellevants als seus objectius. Aquests inclouen el Premi al Patrimoni Arqueològic Europeu, el Premi als Estudiants de l'EAA i la pertinença honoraria a l'organització. L'entitat publica el trimestral European Journal of Archaeology, la sèrie monogràfica THEMES In Contemporary Archeology, i un butlletí electrònic, The European Archaeologist. De EAA werd opgericht in 1994 op een inaugurele bijeenkomst in Ljubljana (Slovenië) waar de statuten formeel werden goedgekeurd. De vereniging werd in 1999 ook erkend door de Raad van Europa. De database van de EAA omvat meer dan 11.000 leden uit 60 landen van over de hele wereld die werkzaam zijn in de prehistorie, de klassieke, de middeleeuwse en de historische archeologie. De EAA organiseert elk jaar een algemene bijeenkomst van de leden en publiceert het meest vooraanstaande tijdschrift van de Europese archeologie, de European Journal of Archaeology (EJA). De EAA geeft ook een elektronische nieuwsbrief uit, The European Archaeologist (TEA). De maatschappelijke zetel van de vereniging is gevestigd in Praag (Tsjechië). - Europejskie Stowarzyszenie Archeologów (European Association of Archaeologists – EAA) – organizacja powstała w 1994 roku, licząca obecnie ponad 1100 członków z 41 krajów europejskich i pozaeuropejskich. Skupia archeologów i innych współpracujących z archeologią specjalistów. Należą do niej naukowcy, dydaktycy, archeolodzy terenowi, konserwatorzy, muzealnicy i studenci archeologii. W 1999 EAA uzyskała status ciała konsultacyjnego Rady Europy. Celem organizacji jest przede wszystkim:
* promowanie rozwoju badań archeologicznych i wymiany informacji,
* promowanie ochrony i prezentacji społeczeństwu europejskiego dziedzictwa archeologicznego,
* promowanie właściwych etycznych i naukowych standardów prac archeologicznych. Organizacja wydaje periodyk European Journal of Archaeology, internetowy newsletter The European Archaeologist oraz organizuje coroczne konferencje. W roku 2006 konferencja EAA odbyła się w Krakowie. Konferencje EAA zazwyczaj gromadzą 600-800 uczestników, stanowiąc najważniejsze wydarzenie naukowe w archeologii europejskiej. Siedzibą sekretariatu organizacji jest obecnie Praga. Zarząd EAA jest międzynarodowy. Obecnie prezesem jest prof. z Wielkiej Brytanii. Przedstawicielem Polski w zarządzie EAA jest obecnie prof. Zbigniew Kobyliński. Członkiem międzynarodowej Rady Doradczej periodyku European Journal of Archaeology jest prof. Stanisław Tabaczyński. (pl)
