- Eurodif, which means European Gaseous Diffusion Uranium Enrichment Consortium, is a subsidiary of the French company Orano, which operates a uranium enrichment plant established at the Tricastin Nuclear Power Center in Pierrelatte in Drôme. The nuclear site of Pierrelatte includes many nuclear installations, of which the largest are the Eurodif fuel factory and the Tricastin nuclear power station. Enriched uranium is the preferred fuel for light water reactors, a common nuclear power technology. (en)
- Eurodif SA, créée en 1973, est une société spécialisée dans l'enrichissement de l'uranium. La forme juridique est une société anonyme à directoire et conseil de surveillance. Ses actionnaires sont, en 2010, Areva NC (44,65 %), Sofidif (25 %), Synatom (11,11 %), Enusa (11,11 %) et Enea (8,13 %). Cette société est présente commercialement en France et à l'international. Elle possède deux filiales :
* Eurodif Production qui exploite l'usine Georges-Besse II, située en France dans le département de la Drôme sur le site nucléaire du Tricastin, dont Eurodif SA est propriétaire ;
* Socatri, implantée sur le même site du Tricastin. La société possède également une implantation à Vélizy-Villacoublay. (fr)

Zakłady były wspólnym przedsięwzięciem Francji (nadzór projektu), Belgii, Włoch, Hiszpanii i Szwecję, i miały dostarczać paliwa dla reaktorów w tych krajach (podobnie jak holenderskie ). Dzięki, wówczas najnowszej, technologii dyfuzji gazowej, były w stanie pokryć 1/4 światowego zapotrzebowania na wzbogacony uran. EURODIF formalnie powstał w 1973 roku. Produkcję prowadzono od 1979 do 7 czerwca 2012, kiedy to zaprzestano produkcji paliwa. Funkcję zakładów, których operatorem była Areva, przejęła nowa placówka, George Besse II, która rozpoczęła pracę w kwietniu 2011. EURODIF dostarczał paliwo do ponad 100 reaktorów na świecie, przy wydajności 8 mln . (pl)
