- Erol Dora (born 2 February 1964, in Hassana near Silopi) is a lawyer and a politician of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). A member of the ethnic Aramean people[ minority in Turkey, he is a well-known advocate for minority rights, Aramean particularly the human rights situation of Turkey's Christian minorities. In the 2011 general election Dora became the first ethnic Aramean member of the Turkish Parliament, and the first Christian MP since 1960. Since 2014 a member of the HDP, he was re-elected in the consecutive June and November 2015 elections. (en)
