Lieutenant-colonel Edward Taswell (21 June 1826 – 1 June 1889) was an English soldier and amateur cricketer who played first-class cricket between 1847 and 1863. Taswell was born at Canterbury in 1826, the son of George Morris Taswell who was a Justice of the Peace. He joined the Royal Artillery (RA) and was commissioned as a Second lieutenant in June 1845.
