- Die Dionysos-Dithyramben sind ein Gedichtzyklus von Friedrich Nietzsche und sein letztes von ihm zum Druck bestimmtes Werk. Die 1889 vollendete Sammlung erschien 1891 als Anhang des vierten Teils seiner philosophischen Dichtung Also sprach Zarathustra. Mit dem erst später für die Sammlung gefundenen, nur scheinbar tautologischen Titel bezieht sich Nietzsche auf den Gott der Lebensbejahung und ewigen Wiederkunft Dionysos, der sich in diesen Liedern selbst feiert. Der Zyklus umfasst neun Dithyramben in freien Rhythmen, von denen drei bereits 1885 in der ersten Ausgabe des Zarathustra erschienen waren und für die Sammlung neu überarbeitet wurden. (de)
- Dionysian-Dithyrambs (German: Dionysos-Dithyramben) is a collection of nine poems written in second half of 1888 by Friedrich Nietzsche under the pen name of Dionysos. The first six poems (Zwischen Raubvögeln, Das Feuerzeichen, Die Sonne sinkt, Letzter Wille, Ruhm und Ewigkeit and Von der Armut des Reichsten) were published in the 1891 edition of Also sprach Zarathustra. The other three poems (Klage der Ariadne, Nur Narr! Nur Dichter! and Unter Töchtern der Wüste) are compositions drawn from those found in Also sprach Zarathustra only slightly altered. Ruhm und Ewigkeit was published at the finis of the 1908 first edition of Ecce Homo; however, it is now deemed to be a requisite part of Dionysos-Dithyramben. In January 1889, during his dementia, Nietzsche drafted "dedications" of Dionysos-Dithyramben to Catulle Mendès, a French poet, critic and novelist, an exemplar of Parnassianism, and author of the libretto to the operetta Isoline composed by André Messager, which made its debut at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in Paris on 26 December 1888, in which he states his high regard for Mendès, calling him des grössten und ersten Satyr, der heute lebt—und nicht nur heute. Dionysos-Dithyramben (Ditirambi di Dioniso), scritti già nel periodo di Così parlò Zarathustra e durante l'ultimo autunno torinese, quando, dopo qualche integrazione e correzione ne ultimò la redazione per la stampa pochi giorni prima del definitivo tracollo psichico, avvenuto a Torino all'inizio del gennaio 1889 a seguito di una malattia, forse ereditaria, che lo aveva accompagnato per gran parte della sua vita. Terminados em 1888, foram publicados em um único volume apenas em 1900, depois da morte do autor. Referindo-se à dicotomia proposta por Nietzsche entre o carácter apolíneo e dionisíaco da arte, proposta em "A Origem da Tragédia", os poemas desta recolha fazem a apologia da sedução estética e sensorial característica da figura do deus tomado como referência (Dioniso).
