The Dempster Highway, also referred to as Yukon Highway 5 and Northwest Territories Highway 8, is a highway in Canada that connects the Klondike Highway in Yukon to Inuvik, Northwest Territories on the Mackenzie River delta. The highway crosses the Peel and the Mackenzie rivers using a combination of seasonal ferry services and ice bridges. Year-round road access from Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk opened in November 2017, with the completion of the Inuvik–Tuktoyaktuk Highway, creating the first all-weather road route connecting the Canadian road network with the Arctic Ocean.

Insieme alla Dalton Highway è una delle uniche due strade che attraversano il circolo polare artico in Nord America (l'unica in Canada). La strada nel suo percorso attraversa i fiumi Peel e Mackenzie mediante traghetti (gratuiti) in estate e ponti di ghiaccio in inverno. Per questa ragione la strada non è percorribile nella sua interezza durante i periodi del disgelo in primavera (maggio e inizio di giugno) e del gelo in autunno (da metà ottobre a metà dicembre). Dopo Inuvik è possibile proseguire fino a Tuktoyaktuk, sulla costa del Mar Glaciale Artico, mediante la Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway, percorribile tutto l'anno, aperta nel 2017.
