- Die Delica mit Sitz in Birsfelden war ein Unternehmen des Schweizer Detailhandelskonzerns Migros. Das Nahrungsmittelunternehmen verarbeitete Kaffee, Trockenfrüchte, Nüsse, Kerne, Samen, Gewürze, Pilze und Hülsenfrüchte. Mit 13'900 Tonnen verarbeitetem Rohkaffee zählte das Unternehmen zu den grössten Kaffeeröstereien auf dem Schweizer Markt. Mit rund 10'000 Tonnen verarbeiteten Trockenprodukten und einer Kapazität von über 60 Millionen Verkaufseinheiten pro Jahr gehörte die Delica auch in dieser Produktgruppe zu den grössten Schweizer Verarbeitern. Die Delica beschäftigte im Jahr 2020 431 Mitarbeiter und arbeitete im Verbund mit den Migros-Industriebetrieben Chocolat Frey, Midor, Riseria Taverne und Totale Capsule Solutions zusammen. Dieser Verbund ist per 1. Juni 2021 zur neuen Delica AG fusioniert. Die Kernkompetenzen der Delica lagen in der Beschaffung, Veredlung und Vermarktung von Roh- und Handelswaren sowie in der Entwicklung von Kaffeekapselmaschinen. Neben ihrem Hauptkunden Migros belieferte die Delica weitere Detailhändler im In- und Ausland sowie Grosshandel, Gastronomie und Industriebetriebe. (de)

Its field of activities comprises the procurement, refinement, packaging and marketing of raw materials and commodities from around the world, with particular emphasis on coffee and non-perishable foods such as dried fruits and mushrooms, nuts and kernels, spices, as well as legumes. Delica supplies retail traders, wholesalers, food manufacturers and catering companies. In 2013 the company had a turnover of over 269 million Swiss Francs, of which 23.8 million came from exports. In June 2021 it legally merged with 4 other enterprises in the Migros-Industry Segment 4, to from the new Delica AG with headquarters in Buchs AG. (en)
