- David Trullo (* 1969 in Madrid) ist ein spanischer bildender Künstler und Fotograf, er war Artist in Residence im Irish Museum of Modern Art (2002) und wurde in der Backlight International Triennial for Photography in Tampere, Finnland (2005) ausgewählt. Die immer wiederkehrenden Themen seiner Foto- und Videoarbeiten sind Gender-Identität und die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gebrauch der Ikonographie. Häufig beschäftigt er sich auch mit der Interpretation traditioneller Themen der Kunstgeschichte. Er hat an Kunstmessen und Festivals wie ARCO (Feria Internacional de ARte COntemporáneo), und PHotoEspaña in Spanien und und der Armory Show in den Vereinigten Staaten teilgenommen. Im Jahr 2006 zeigte das , Madrid, Trullos Coined, eine Fotoserie, die aus hundert Porträts von Freunden und Bekannten des Künstlers besteht, die alle im Profil, in der Art römischer Kaiser, im Stil von Gedenkmedaillen und Münzen dargestellt sind. Die 96 Porträts entsprechen zahlenmäßig der Kaiserliste von Augustus bis Romulus Augustulus. 2016 veröffentlichte er zusammen mit Pablo Peinado das Buch Una historia verdadera, eine Sammlung von Fotografien über Frauen und Männer, die sich entschlossen haben, sich irgendwann in ihrem Leben gemeinsam zu porträtieren. - David Trullo (born 1969 in Madrid) is a Spanish visual artist and Photographer, he was artist in residence in the Irish Museum of Modern Art (2002) and selected in Backlight International Triennial for Photography, Tampere, Finland (2005). The recurrent themes in his photographic and video work are gender identity and the exploration of the uses of iconography. His work also frequently deals with the interpretation of the traditional subjects of art history. He has participated in art fairs and festivals such as , Estampa and Photo España in Spain and Art Miami and The Armory Show in the United States. In 2006 the Museo Lazaro Galdiano, Madrid, showed Trullo's "Coined", a photographic series composed of hundred portraits of friends and acquaintances of the artist, all represented in profile, in the manner of Roman emperors, following the style of commemorative medals and coins. The 96 portraits correspond in number to the list of emperors from Augustus to Romulus Augustus. in 2016 he published together with Pablo Peinado the book : Una historia verdadera, a collection of fotographs about women and men who decided to portray themselves together at some point in their lives.
