- Dan yr Ogof, auch als The National Showcaves Centre for Wales bekannt, ist ein etwa 17 Kilometer langes Höhlensystem, etwa acht Kilometer nördlich von im Brecon-Beacons-Nationalpark im Süden von Wales. Hauptmerkmal des Schauhöhlenkomplexes, von dem behauptet wird, dass er der größte in Europa sei, sind drei unterschiedliche Schauhöhlen, deren vordere Abschnitte für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind:
* die Dan-yr-Ogof-Höhle mit ihren Wasserfällen, dem See und den Alabastersäulen,
* die Bone-Cave-Höhle (auch Ogof-yr-Esgyrn genannt) wo bei archäologischen Ausgrabungen die Knochen von etwa 42 Menschen, 7000 Jahre altem Rotwild, sowie Knochennägel, Keramik, Eisen-, Bronze- und Silberringe, Münzen, sowie Relikte aus der Zeit, als römische Legionen in der Gegend stationiert waren, ausgegraben wurden.
* die höhlenartige Cathedral Cave mit dem Dom und den 13 Meter hohen Wasserfällen. Das Höhlensystem ist darüber hinaus ein Naturschutzgebiet und nur für Höhlenforscher offen. (de)

It is the main feature of a show cave complex, which is claimed to be the largest in the UK and is a tourist attraction in Wales. The first section of the cave system is open to the public, but the extensive cave system beyond is scheduled as a national nature reserve and is open only to bona fide cavers. The bones of some 42 humans, as well as numerous animal bones, have been found in one of the nearby chambers of this cave system. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, Dan yr Ogof was named as the greatest natural wonder in Britain. (en)
