- Colonia or Koloneia, also called Colonia in Armenia (Armenian: Կոլոնիա) to distinguish it from other towns of the same name, was a town of ancient Lesser Armenia, inhabited during Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine times. It became important enough to be the seat of a bishop, a suffragan in the Late Roman Province of Armenia Prima, but faded like most in Asia Minor. No longer a residential bishopric, it remains, under the name Colonia in Armenia, a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church. Its site is located near Şebinkarahisar in Asiatic Turkey. (en)

Elle devient suffisamment importante pour devenir le siège d'un évêque dont le diocèse est alors suffragant de la province romaine d'Armenia Prima, puis, sous le choc des invasions musulmanes, s'éteint. Actuellement Colonia est un siège titulaire de l'Église catholique. Le site est situé à proximité de Şebinkarahisar en Turquie asiatique. (fr)
