- Colonels Mountain is a mountain in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It lies adjacent to Big Bald Mountain, at the headwaters of the Northwest Miramichi River and the Sevogle River. The mountain top has been weathered to generate a series of mushroom-shaped granitic tors. Because the weathering process which forms tors is normally very slow, these features have been interpreted as indicating that part of northern New Brunswick escaped the last, Wisconsinan glaciation. It has been suggested, however, that the mountain lay near the centre of the ice cap; these erosional remnants thus escaped the scouring action of the glaciers. (en)

De berg heeft een hoogte van 600 meter boven zeeniveau en maakt deel uit van de Appalachen. De top van de berg is verweerd tot een reeks paddenstoelvormige granieten torens. Omdat het verweringsproces dat de torens vormt normaal gesproken erg traag is, zijn deze elementen geïnterpreteerd als een aanwijzing dat een deel van het noorden van New Brunswick ontsnapt is aan de laatste ijstijd. Er is echter gesuggereerd dat de berg nabij het centrum van het koude ijs lag; deze erosieresten zijn dus ontsnapt aan de schurende werking van de gletsjers.
