- Klub angažovaných nestraníků (KAN) je politické hnutí, které vzniklo na jaře roku 1968 (žádost přijata 8. dubna 1968). Sdružovalo všechny zájemce o politickou angažovanost, kteří nebyli nebo nechtěli být členy KSČ ani žádné jiné strany tehdejší Národní fronty (jiné politické strany nebyly tehdy povoleny). Po listopadu 89 bylo hnutí obnoveno (7. května 1990). KAN se hlásí k ideálům svobody, demokracie, humanity a prosperity, prosazuje toleranci rasovou, národnostní i náboženskou, a uplatňování zásady rovnosti občanů před zákonem a rovnosti příležitostí. Dále považuje důležitým základem moderní společnosti „kulturní a humanitní zásady křesťansko-židovské a antické civilizace“. (cs)
- Klub angažovaných nestraníků (Klub engagierter Parteiloser), abgekürzt KAN, war neben dem Klub K 231 eine der wichtigsten Organisationen, die während des Prager Frühlings 1968 in der Tschechoslowakei entstanden und sich außerhalb des Einflussbereichs der Kommunistischen Partei der Tschechoslowakei befanden. Sie spielten eine wesentliche Rolle sowohl im Demokratisierungsprozess von 1968 wie auch in den späteren Begründungen der sowjetischen Führung für den Einmarsch der Truppen des Warschauer Paktes in die Tschechoslowakei von am 21. August 1968. Nach dem Verbot dieser politischen Bewegung im September 1968 wurde die Tätigkeit im Frühjahr 1990 wieder aufgenommen. (de)
- The Club of Committed Non-Party Members (in Czech Klub angažovaných nestraníků, KAN) is a tiny liberal party in the Czech Republic co-founded by Rudolf Battěk. It was founded during the Prague Spring in May 1968 by 144 leading Czechoslovak intellectuals and prominent social figures. It was formed as an independent activist organisation with the purpose of advocating a reform program. It committed itself to human rights and civil equality, political pluralism, and the principles embodied in the UN Declaration on human rights. During its peak, it claimed to have almost 15,000 members. The Soviet Army formally proscribed it in September 1968. After the Velvet Revolution of 1989, KAN was reorganized in 1990 as a party, but it has not gained wide support in the elections and is not represented in the parliament. (en)
