Jak sama nazwa wskazuje, w czasopiśmie tym znajdują się głównie najświeższe wiadomości ze świata chemii w postaci krótkich artykułów. Zawiera także tzw. „Focus Articles” (zwięzłe artykuły o tematyce interdyscyplinarnej) oraz „Feature Articles” (recenzowane artykuły podsumowujące najświeższe dokonania w dziedzinie chemii).
